Samutprakarn is considered a seaside gateway city. Since the reign of King Rama II, forts along the Chao Phraya River have been built.
Currently, some forts remain and are no longer in use.
Fort Phi Suea Samut is under the responsibility of the Royal Thai Navy. The bomb storage building is still preserved, including the fort and the Tiger Cannon.

Butterfly Fortress
Phisuea Samut Fort is located on an island in Mae Nam. It was built in 1819 during the reign of King Phutthaloetla Naphalai, Rama II. The fort itself looks like a butterfly, using the tail of the butterfly as the entrance. It was once used to shoot and fight two French warships during the R.S. 112 incident.
Currently, this place is open to tourists and the general public. In addition to the Phisuea Fort, there are also nature study trails, mangrove forests, suspension bridges, and various ancient forts for you to walk around and see. This can be said to be a beautiful corner of Samut Prakan that is worth stopping by to take pictures, just like other places. Open: 07.00-18.00 Address: Tambon Pak Khlong Bang Pla Kot, Amphoe Phra Samut Chedi, Samut Prakan Province
