💜The pagoda on the top of Doi Inthanon (on the way up) is right across from Kiew Mae Pan. The place is very beautiful, like being in another city. The weather is very good. The view is good, there are many flower gardens. If you come to Doi Inthanon, you must stop by. The entrance fee is 50 baht per person.
🛕There are pagodas on both sides: Phra Mahathat Chedi Naphonphumisiri is on the right side and Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon is on the left side.

Noppamethanedon & Pagoda Nopphonphusiri: The Royal Pagodas of Mount Inthanon Summit
Phra Maha That Noppamethanedon and Phra Maha That Nopphonphusiri
Highlights: There are two pagodas. The brown pagoda was built in 1987 to honor King Bhumibol Adulyadej on his 60th birthday. The purple pagoda was built in 1992 to celebrate Queen Sirikit's 60th birthday. As you walk up, you can see the beautiful garden from afar. There is an escalator to the pagodas. Inside, there are Buddha statues and various sculptures. This place is about 2,100 meters above sea level, so even on a good weather day, the wind can still blow through the pagoda area. If you wear short clothes, the temple provides clothes for borrowing, but it is quite cold, so I borrowed some to wear. Today the weather is very nice, making the garden look even more beautiful.
You can take a free shuttle from the parking lot to the site.

The sacred twin Pagodas atop Doi Inthanon's Peak
Hidden in the serene tranquility of Doi Inthanon National Park in Thailand are two architectural marvels, the intertwined sacred twins - Pra Mahatat Noppamethanedon and Pra Mahatat Nopphonphusiri. Erected in honor of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit's respective 60th birthdays, these two pagodas serve as enduring memorials.
Nestled in the heart of the park, these magnificent edifices reach towards the heavens, framed by the verdant abundance of the park and the panoramic vistas beyond. Their architectural grandeur echoes the traditional Thai Buddhist temples' essence, infused with a contemporary touch that adds a dash of distinction.
The interiors house Buddha relics and intricate murals depicting the life of Buddha, inviting a moment of quiet reflection. Outside, the beautiful surrounding gardens, adorned with vibrant flowers, offer a space of serene contemplation. The panoramic views of the park and the valleys from the pagodas' grounds are equally spellbinding.
Embracing the ethos of peace and reverence, my visit to Pra Mahatat Noppamethanedon and Pra Mahatat Nopphonphusiri was a unique spiritual journey, intertwining natural beauty and profound symbolism, forever etched in my memory.

Pay homage to the Great Relic, the Twin Stupas at Doi Inthanon
#Chiang Mai attractions #Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon #Phra Mahathat Naphaphonphumisiri #Doi Inthanon #Chiang Mai review #Chiang Mai is worth visiting #Beautiful temples throughout Thailand #Worship and ask for blessings #Make merit and worship
We traveled to Doi Inthanon and stopped to pay homage to the Phra Mahathat, the highest twin pagoda in Thailand.
The pagoda was built to make merit for His Majesty King Rama IX and the Queen Mother (the Queen during the reign of King Rama IX).
The twin pagodas are Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon (brown pagoda) and Phra Mahathat Naphaphonphumisiri (purple-pink pagoda), enshrined tall and majestically. Inside the pagoda, there is a beautiful Buddha statue. Walking around the pagoda, you can see the view on Doi Inthanon and the area has a flower garden and winter vegetables. There are many photo spots and the weather is great.

#National park worth visiting
This winter, we will take everyone to visit the most beautiful pagoda on Doi Inthanon.
📌Phra That Naphamethanidon and Phra Mahathat Chedi Naphaphonphumisiri
Wow, really. The most beautiful viewpoint. The pagoda is built on the top of a high mountain, with a 360-degree view. Inside the pagoda, there are Buddha statues and beautiful murals. The atmosphere outside is surrounded by winter flowers and pine trees, giving a feeling like being in a foreign country.
The highlight here must be the hydrangea field, it's so beautiful.
And another place is the Kiew Mae Pan viewpoint, so cool, so cold, don't miss it.

[Beautiful pagodas interwoven with flowers and history] Twin Pagodas Napa Mae Nidon & Napa Pom Misri
[Beautiful pagodas interwoven with flowers and history]
"Naphamethinidon & Naphaphonphumisiri (King & Queen Pagodas)" on the outskirts of Chiang Mai
Two magnificent pagodas built in honor of past kings and queens.
The highlights are the elegant exterior surrounded by colorful flower beds, and the majestic interior space where different Buddha statues are enshrined.
The ceiling decorations and murals are also delicate and beautiful, and you can't help but stare at them.
The grounds are also well-maintained with walkways, small bridges, and fountains, making it perfect for taking photos while strolling✨
The high altitude and clear air make you feel like your soul is being cleansed😌
A healing spot that you should definitely stop by when visiting Chiang Mai🌿🤍

Phra Maha Chedi Phumiphol
Phra Maha That Naphamethinidon and Phra Maha That Naphaphonphumisiri are located at kilometer marker 41.5 on the left side. They were built by the Royal Thai Air Force in collaboration with the Thai people. Phra Maha That Naphamethinidon was constructed to honor King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of his 5th cycle birthday anniversary in 1987, and Phra Maha That Naphaphonphumisiri was built to honor Queen Sirikit on the occasion of her 5th cycle birthday anniversary in 1992. Both of these stupas have a similar shape, with a 12-sided base and two levels of glass balconies surrounding them. The top spire houses relics of the Buddha and worship statues. The surrounding area offers beautiful views of Doi Inthanon.

The Great Holy Relics Pagoda Nabhapolbhumisiri
The two large commemorative pagodas are located on the summit of Doi Inthanon, surrounded by trees and mountain ranges that stretch as far as the eye can see. Inside, there are winter flower gardens, the Great Holy Relics, viewpoints, and souvenir shops. It is open for tourists to visit from the morning.
Tourists who wish to visit will be charged a maintenance fee of 50 baht per person, which includes a shuttle service from the parking lot outside the park. Cars are not allowed to park inside the park; you need to drive a bit further to find the parking lot and shuttle service (near Kew Mae Pan parking lot).
On the day of the visit, around 2 PM, there were not many tourists, but they kept coming. The weather was cool and very cold when the wind blew. Inside, it was comfortable to walk around, and the flowers were very beautiful.

Photography enthusiasts, don't miss this!
The Phra Mahathat Naphaphonphumisiri Pagoda is located on Doi Inthanon. After exploring the summit of Doi Inthanon, drive down to the parking lot and take the shuttle provided by the staff. The fare is donation-based, just drop your contribution in the box at the back of the vehicle. The entrance fee for Thai nationals is 50 baht per person, and it's absolutely worth it.
The weather is fantastic, making you feel like you're on a cloud. In fact, clouds often come right up to you (haha). Sometimes, the view is just mist. There are escalators on both sides of the pagoda, each offering a unique but equally stunning view.
There are plenty of photo spots, with numerous angles to capture. There's a bridge, beautiful flowers, and a breathtaking view to uplift your spirits.

The majestic Twins of royalty
The Royal Twin Pagoda is a great historical site in the city of Chain Mai. The pagodas were established to commemorate the 60th birthday of the great King and Queen near the top of the Doi Inthanon national park. The top of the pagodas goes up into the clouds and there are spiraling staircases and a provision of escalator for people with walking disabilities. Inside the pagodas is a beautiful statue of Buddha with stunning artworks.outside the landscape looks beautiful and pleasant. It’s a wonderful landmark surrounded by nature and greenery. #trip #Travel #Thailand #culture #Pagoda #chiangmai

Phra Mahathat Naphonphumisiri
This pagoda is located before the way up to Doi Inthanon. There is an entrance fee of 50 baht per person.
When you get there, you will see cold fog around the pagoda on both sides and the air is cool. In addition, both sides have winter flower gardens around the area where we can walk and take pictures. For the way up, there is an elevator for service and for the way down, we have to walk down the stairs ourselves.

Naphamethanidon and Naphaphonphumisiri Great Stupa
This is another place that when you come to Doi Inthanon you must stop to pay homage and see the beautiful flowers all year round. You pay a maintenance fee of 40 baht per person. There is an escalator to go up to the Buddha image and then slowly walk down to see the beauty of the flowers and take pictures as souvenirs. For those who like flowers from the north, this place is just as beautiful as other places and they bloom all year round. The day I went it was raining, unfortunately I got few beautiful pictures. #Chiang Mai attractions
