Plai Pu Hot Spring, Phang Nga Province
Hot springs at Plai Pu, Kapong District, Phang Nga Province
This hot spring is naturally formed. Hot water bubbles up and mixes with cold water in the same stream. In the Plai Pu canal, there is one large hot spring and 4-6 small hot springs combined. The average temperature is around 75 degrees Celsius. The hot springs here are different from other places because "there are two streams": cold water on the left bank and hot water on the right bank. When the two flow together, they become warm water. The locals believe that they can cure diseases such as arthritis, numbness, and paralysis. Another great activity is that in addition to soaking in the water, you can put eggs in a basket and soak them in the stream to boil as onsen eggs. If you didn't bring eggs or a basket, you can buy them from the shop at the entrance. The price is not expensive.
I recommend coming in the morning to get some fresh air. I guarantee that it's worth getting up early. It feels like you're in the North. And at this hot spring, you can soak in the hot water all day long. Most importantly, it's free of charge.
