There are quite a few uphill sections on the way to the Golden Gate Bridge, but the scenery is so beautiful that it doesn't feel that difficult if you enjoy the scenery. 3️⃣ Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge (Photos 8-10) The Golden Gate Bridge is divided into a bike path, a car path, and a pedestrian path, so you have to choose your path carefully. You can also enjoy the sunset of San Francisco over the horizon while crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. 4️⃣ Sightseeing in Sausalito (Photos 11-13) When you cross the Golden Gate Bridge, you arrive at a small town called Sausalito. It is equally beautiful and it is another attraction that you should head to If you are in San Francisco. The point bonita Lighthouse is no longer operating but the views from the Lighthouse is breath taking. You will need to walk a short trail before reaching the Lighthouse. Once you're up there, admire the lovely scenery. See waves crashing against rocks, see the beautiful golden gate Bridge from across, and see rock formations and hills. With the blue sky and the sun shinning down on the Lighthouse, I can't help but fall in love with what I see. Along the way, you will pass the Golden Gate Bridge and catch a glimpse of Sausalito, a dreamy waterfront town. The moment you step into the forest, the healing feeling is indescribable. The fresh air and sunlight penetrating the tall tree canopy make you feel happy. Occasionally, you can see lively little squirrels jumping around. According to the introduction, there are also traces of large snails, deer, and even salmon here. Although I only encountered little squirrels this time, it was enough to make me happy. These redwoods are the tallest tree species in the world, with an average age of 800 to 1,500 years. I left San Francisco at 12 noon and started walking in the forest at about 1 pm. Walking along the main road, it happened to be the weekend, and there were quite a few local families. When I was ready to return at 4 pm, the sun was still full, but considering the difficulty and safety of calling a car after dark, I quickened my pace. I participated in a tour that combined a visit to a winery in Napa Valley with Muir Woods National Monument. Muir Woods National Monument was a very mystical place lined with redwoods! Season/Temperature🍂 In mid-September, Napa was quite warm and just right for short sleeves, but here it was a bit chilly, probably because of the high altitude, and it would have been tough without a jacket. Recommended age👤 There were various trails, but this time we took the basic boardwalk! It is well maintained, so I think people of all ages can enjoy it. In fact, there were people who came to play with their children in strollers👶 Time required⌚️ The last photo, it was just over 30 minutes to Bridge4. It was just over an hour round trip, so it was just right for hiking! I don't think there are many places in America where you can experience this kind of atmosphere, but I felt it was a bit similar to Yakushima in Japan 🤔 This time we walked basic paths because it was a tour, but if we had more time we could have enjoyed a more serious trail 🏃 I think if you're tired from the city, coming here will be quite soothing 🌿

We took a Uber to the Muir woods from downtown San Francisco after seeing pictures online. The Forrest was incredibly beautiful and seemed to go on forever with many different trails to go on. It’s $15 dollars to enter which it’s a really good price. The only problem we had was getting a Uber back to the city due to connection to 3G, so recommend booking a tour or a taxi that will pick you up at a certain time #san fransico #muir forrest #awesomepic #forrest

Getting There - We were located in downtown San Francisco near Union Square and used Uber to get to Muir Woods. It cost $38 USD one way. The drive is beautiful and you get to go across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge which was spectacular in itself. Please note that once entering the hills you will loose signal so have transport for the way back arranged prior. Attractions - Entrance fee was $15 USD per person and to go the entire loop around took just under 1 hour. The woods itself is beautiful and very well kept. If you are wanting a cheaper and easier alternative the the redwood forest this is it. They have the iconic redwood trees with facts along the way around. Hotels - Stay in San Francisco Bay and commute into the woods as there is nothing else around the Muir area. The drive from our best western hotel was around 35 minutes one way. Food & Restaurants - Bring food and drink as the on-site cafe is closed for renovations and I am unsure when it’s likely to re open. Shopping - Small gift shop location at the entrance of the woods selling great gifts from both the woods and San Francisco.
