Khao Luang Sukhothai, Ramkhamhaeng National Park
Ramkhamhaeng National Park covers the areas of Ban Dan Lan Hoi District, Khiri Mat District, and Mueang District, Sukhothai Province. It is a historical national park, consisting of ancient religious objects from the Sukhothai period, a rich forest, a source of streams, and beautiful natural scenery, such as Sai Rung Waterfall. Ramkhamhaeng National Park covers an area of approximately 213,125 rai or 341 square kilometers. The Royal Forest Department declared Khao Luang Forest a national reserve forest under the National Reserved Forest Act B.E. 2507 on April 24, 1969. After that, the Royal Forest Department issued a letter, number Kor Sor 0706/2978, dated February 21, 1974, regarding the selection of areas to establish wildlife sanctuaries and national parks, requiring all provinces to coordinate with the forest districts to inspect forest areas in each district to determine which areas are suitable for establishing wildlife sanctuaries or national parks.
