Thailand🇹🇭 Bangkok Michelin Bib Gourmand Food Recommendation - Rongtai Rice Noodles
There are countless delicious Thai restaurants in Bangkok, Thailand, but the good taste that really impresses people is the affordable street food that doesn’t cost too much! Rongtai Rice Noodle Soup is a shop that has been in Bangkok for more than 50 years. The Thai-style pork kuey teow soup sold is sweet and delicious. You can eat it for only a copper plate and it is very satisfying. It is really impressive that it has been certified by Michelin Street Food for many years. .
Rongtai Rice Noodle Soup is located at Exit 4 of BTS Phrom Phong. You can see the store on the roadside in about 5 minutes' walk. It is not far from the BTS ASOKE business district and the transportation is very convenient. After eating, you can stop by and visit the nearby TheEmQuartier , The Emporium and the newly opened Emsphere 3-building department store at the end of last year
This store is divided into two stores, one is opened by the elder brother, and the other is opened by the younger brother. The two are located next to each other, and the younger brother's store has another (heavy) word under Rongtai, which means younger brother. The name, in this way, is also a good point. The store we visited that day was my brother's store. There was a sticker clearly recommended by Michelin Bib Gourmand at the door. As a tourist, of course I had to come and try it out!
Ordering methods are:
1. Choose the soup base first (clear soup, hot and sour, hot and sour dry noodles)
2. Choose noodles (wide rice noodles, thin rice noodles, rice noodles, thick rice noodles, noodles, vermicelli)
3. Choose ingredients (including fish balls, pork, fish and pig mixture, and full mixture)
4. Choose large, medium or small bowls
There are menus in Chinese and English, and there are several waiters and aunts who can also speak Chinese. There is no communication difficulty, just order with confidence👍
I chose the clear soup and fine rice noodle mixture (with viscera) because I had never tried it before. I ordered a small bowl and it was gone after a few bites. It was really a small bowl. It is recommended to order medium or large. The clear soup is the same as in Taiwan. The pork bone soup is similar. I think the taste is quite enough on its own, but if you want to have a stronger taste, you can also add fish sauce, lemon juice, crushed peanuts and small peanuts!
There are also refreshing thirst-quenching drinks you can order and drink. Each cup only costs 20-50 baht, which is cheap and refreshing. However, I still prefer Thai milk, so I didn’t order a drink (laughs)
Rongtai rice noodles are really rich in ingredients, the soup is fresh and sweet, and they are very cheap. Next time you come, you must order a big bowl to enjoy it!
