Wangjiatian Plaza is located in the center of Bangkok, with an area of more than 120,000 square meters. It was originally the royal palace, and now most important celebrations of the royal family and the government are held here. The square is oval in shape, surrounded by sour horn trees. The square is also a place for Thai people to gather and rest and entertain. On the north side of the square, there is a small white statue of the goddess of the earth, built in the period of Rama V. Every May, the king presides over the "Spring Ploughing Ceremony" here. The specific date is chosen by the king, and the ceremony is presided over by the king. The Minister of Agriculture (generally the Minister of Agriculture) is assigned in advance to organize the implementation.

Sanam Luang today is like a park of the city. In the morning is a place to exercise. In the evening, it became a place to relax and walk around the city. Sanam Luang occurred since the reign of King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great. King Rama I was graciously graciously graciously graciously graciously graciously graciously graciously graciously. To offer the royal palaces to the crematorium and the crematorium The crematorium was built. The crematorium was built for the ashes of the ashes of the ashes of His Majesty King Pathom Boromchanok. For this reason, for this reason, people call this area "Thung Phra Meru". If it was a crematorium, this place would be full of people. Take a tour of the temples near Sanam Luang
Today we come to make merit at 2 famous temples near Sanam Luang: Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Pho.
These 2 temples are famous temples located near each other. Tourists who come to Thailand like to visit these 2 temples very much. Personally, I think it's because they are beautiful and located in the city center. They are also temples with a long history in Thailand.
The atmosphere inside the temple has both a tourist zone and a quiet zone, which I personally like both. It makes me feel proud and relaxed at the same time.
For anyone who lives around here, I recommend coming here. It is still a very worthwhile temple to visit in Bangkok.

Sanam Luang
Sanam Luang is a large field located in front of Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit Rajaworamahavihara, between the Grand Palace and the Front Palace in Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. It covers an area of 74 rai 63 square wah. Currently, the Fine Arts Department has registered it as an ancient monument in 1977.
🛕 Around Sanam Luang, there are many tourist attractions such as temples, museums, and theaters. Even after multiple visits, there are still places left to explore.
On holidays, there are more tourists, mostly foreigners.

Sanam Luang
#thailandtrip
Sanam Luang is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Bangkok. Located in the heart of the city, it is a historical site that offers a glimpse into the rich culture and heritage of Thailand. The sprawling park is surrounded by several iconic buildings, making it an ideal spot for history buffs and photography enthusiasts.
One of the highlights of Sanam Luang is the Grand Palace, which is one of the most iconic landmarks in Thailand. It served as the residence of the royal family for many years, and today it is open to the public as a museum. The intricate architecture and ornate decorations of the palace are truly awe-inspiring.
The park itself is a delightful oasis in the bustling city, with plenty of trees, greenery, and fresh air. The vast expanse of the park is perfect for picnics, strolls, or simply lounging on the grass. On weekends, locals gather here for cultural events, live music performances, and other activities.
One of the most impressive features of Sanam Luang is the large open space that can accommodate thousands of people. This makes it an ideal venue for festivals, concerts, and other large-scale events. The park also features several food stalls and vendors selling traditional Thai snacks.

The Heart of Bangkok
#songkran2024 This field has a very long history. It went through different eras of Thailand's past to present. From a place for people to relax, official royal ceremonies, to hosting important events. The park is an ideal spot for relaxation, entertainment, and exploration. With its stunning architecture, beautiful greenery, and vibrant atmosphere, Sanam Luang is a true gem in the heart of Bangkok.
I am really honoured to witness this colourful event, the "Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2024" which took place in Bangkok on 11 to 13 April, showcasing Thai traditions and cultural heritage through 20 grand parade processions and over 1,000 performers.
Led by Miss Universe 2023 first runner-up, Antonia Porsild, the parade highlighted the significance of Songkran, Thailand's traditional New Year festival recognized by UNESCO. Divided into sections representing provinces with unique traditions, the parade celebrated the diversity of Thai culture.
The festivities, including games, and festivals, spanned five days, centered around Sanam Luang. This extravagant event invites everyone to immerse themselves in Thailand's rich heritage and join the celebration.

Sanam Luang: Bangkok's Cultural Heartbeat
#songkran2024
Sanam Luang holds a special place in the heart of Bangkok, and my experience there was nothing short of magical. As I stepped onto the vast expanse of greenery, surrounded by historic landmarks and bustling streets, I felt a sense of reverence for the rich tapestry of culture and tradition that enveloped this iconic public space.
Wandering through Sanam Luang, I was captivated by the lively atmosphere, with families picnicking on the grass, children flying kites against the backdrop of the majestic Grand Palace, and vendors selling colorful flowers and traditional snacks. It was a vibrant tableau of everyday life in Bangkok, where past and present converged in a harmonious blend.
One of the highlights of my visit was witnessing the reverence and devotion of locals as they paid homage to the sacred sites that dot the park. From the towering spires of Wat Phra Kaew to the elegant stupas of Wat Mahathat, each temple radiated an aura of serenity and spirituality that was palpable to all who passed by.
But perhaps what struck me most about Sanam Luang was its role as a gathering place for the community. Whether it was a vibrant festival celebrating Thai culture or a peaceful protest advocating for social change, the park served as a stage for the collective aspirations and dreams of the people.

🐻🌅Take a half-day trip to MRT Sanam Chai.
#Travelwithtrip2024 🐻🌅Take a half-day trip to MRT Sanam Chai and in the evening, take pictures at Sanam Luang. Start the trip from Museum Siam 🏛️ and end at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram (Wat Phra Kaew), the Grand Palace. In the evening, go take pictures at Sanam Luang. It's so beautiful. It feels great.
🤳🏼 The photos I got were taken with an old digital camera, which is becoming popular among photographers again. I must say that the photos are very beautiful.
📍Station location: Get off at MRT Sanam Chai Station (Blue Line). Choose to walk: Exit 1. Then walk easily through Wat Pho to find Wat Phra Kaew and Sanam Luang.
