SHAN Villa is located in Bangkok, about 10-15 minutes’ drive from the nearest Onnut BTS station (there is a shuttle bus to the BTS station every hour). The hotel is about an hour's drive from Siam/Central world. The hotel's decoration is modern, light luxury and simple, clean and tidy. Let's start with the hotel itself, SHAN Villas Sukhumvit, which is located near BTS On Nut, making it convenient for transportation. The hotel offers a variety of accommodations, ranging from Deluxe Pool Access or Deluxe One-Bedroom for two people, to Three Bedroom Suites for six people, Family Private Pool for eight people, and the largest option, the Plunge Pool Villa for up to 10 people, making it perfect for groups or families. On this occasion, my friends and I tried out the Plunge Pool Villa that has five bedrooms (with two rooms connected on the top floor). The facilities were complete and the highlight was the private pool made from jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing. In the morning, we ordered a floating breakfast to enjoy while soaking in the pool. The high-ceiling living room was modernly decorated and equipped with a 60-inch TV that had Netflix and YouTube Premium. There was also a large refrigerator and kitchen utensils, including an adorable wine fridge that kept our wine nicely chilled. The bedroom was decorated with a comfortable wooden tone and had a walk-in closet for convenient storage, as well as a guest bathroom separated from the villa. After our stay, we went to the renowned restaurant, Mekha by SHAN Villas, which was located on the hotel's rooftop. The dining room was designed as a romantic Rooftop Crystal Dining Dome, which could also be booked for private events. In addition, we didn't have to worry about the rain as the dome could protect us from the weather. (On the day I went, it was raining heavily, but we were still comfortable inside the dome.)

It's an ideal place for families or groups of friends, but it's not suitable for loud parties as the space is not very large. Shan Villa is a hotel famous for its rooftop restaurant in a glass dome and large rooms with up to 4 bedrooms with private pools. But this time, we will take a look at the starting room here. The room I stayed in this time was a Delux one bedroom, 24 square meters in size. Although it was small, the atmosphere and layout did not feel cramped at all. The decorations were warm-colored wood, a bit minimalist. Personally, it felt like a medium-sized hotel in Japan, giving me a feeling of staying in a foreign hotel. As for the famous Mekha restaurant here, this time I was unlucky. I went suddenly, so I couldn't book in time. But there was a promotion of buy 1 get 1 free spaghetti, which could be ordered and served in the room, so I used this service instead. As for breakfast, the hotel will also serve it at Mekha restaurant, but it will be in a normal air-conditioned room, not in a glass dome, which is understandable. If it's not in the evening or at night, the dome will be quite hot. But it's okay. The view from the air-conditioned room upstairs is also beautiful. You can see a wide, green, and shady garden. As for breakfast, there will be a set of 6 dishes. Each person can choose a set, no refills, but there is a small buffet line with bread, salad, fruit, and tea and coffee.
