Shan Villa, peaceful and comfortable in the heart of the city.
Mini Review Shan Villa ~
A small, quiet, warm hotel for those who don't like the hustle and bustle but want a comfortable place in the On Nut area. It's easy to find food but the price is not expensive. This is the place.
Shan Villa is a hotel famous for its rooftop restaurant in a glass dome and large rooms with up to 4 bedrooms with private pools. But this time, we will take a look at the starting room here.
The room I stayed in this time was a Delux one bedroom, 24 square meters in size. Although it was small, the atmosphere and layout did not feel cramped at all. The decorations were warm-colored wood, a bit minimalist. Personally, it felt like a medium-sized hotel in Japan, giving me a feeling of staying in a foreign hotel.
As for the famous Mekha restaurant here, this time I was unlucky. I went suddenly, so I couldn't book in time. But there was a promotion of buy 1 get 1 free spaghetti, which could be ordered and served in the room, so I used this service instead. As for breakfast, the hotel will also serve it at Mekha restaurant, but it will be in a normal air-conditioned room, not in a glass dome, which is understandable. If it's not in the evening or at night, the dome will be quite hot.
But it's okay. The view from the air-conditioned room upstairs is also beautiful. You can see a wide, green, and shady garden. As for breakfast, there will be a set of 6 dishes. Each person can choose a set, no refills, but there is a small buffet line with bread, salad, fruit, and tea and coffee. Overall, it is okay, not very outstanding.
If anyone wants to try floating breakfast, it is available here. It would be great if anyone booked a room with a private pool. But if you book a normal room, you have to float in the common pool. It will be a bit prominent because the pool is in the middle of the hotel. Anyone passing by will see it.
Apart from that, the service is considered good according to the standard. The staff are smiling and happy to help and give good information and promotions. Overall, I am impressed. It is worth the price.
The advantages that I clearly feel are:
- Separate air conditioners for each room, can be adjusted as desired.
- Easy to adjust the temperature of the shower.
- Sitting area with beautiful light, beautiful for taking pictures.
- Toilet with bidet!
- Microwave oven available in the common area.
- TV in the room with various streaming channels such as Netflix and YouTube.
- Comfortable bed.
As for small points of interest, such as:
- No wardrobe, there is a hanging rail, but it is not very big. It may not be suitable if you have a lot of clothes to hang.
- The bathroom door has a beautiful pattern, but the air conditioner can get in. It can be cold when doing business.
- The parking lot is an outdoor parking lot. If it's the rainy season, you have to prepare an umbrella.
- The entrance to Mekha Restaurant is on the rooftop, which the elevator doesn't reach. You have to walk another floor. If you are elderly or a wheelchair user, it will be difficult.
- There is a roof structure built on Mekha Restaurant. If anyone wants a glass dome atmosphere with an open sky, you may have to choose a dome with a steel structure that does not block the sky view.
