The fair lasts for two weeks from late April to early May and showcases around three million tulips of all colors and varieties. From Takaoka Station or Shin-Takaoka Station, take the JR Johana Line to Tonami Station (approx 20 minutes). During the duration of the fair, free shuttle buses run frequently between the station and the tulip park. There are also small museums and playground for children in the park.

#springblossom We think it could be very crowded if we don't go early but the organizers make it very neatly. Almost all type of tulips you could find here. Parking just near by. After point 1 and 11, You could enjoy some ice-cream before going further, the price is very competitive and they serve free cold water on hot days which is great. For lunch, we suggest to bring a tablecloth for laying and frying noodle for food. The noodle includes egg, meat, vegetables and with good price, you could try some fresh strawberry fruit hể too. Don't forget to bring a hat. That was a fantastic place for tulip hanami.

#thingstodo Perfect place to go in spring! So nice to see so many colors after a long snowy winter in Hokuriku. They have Tonami Tulip Fair from late April to early May. The park is quite large. There were food stalls in some areas. An observation tower just opened and you will get to see the entire tulip field. There are museum buildings inside the park if you’re interested to see some rare/new species of tulip and other flowers.

If using public transport, use shinkansen from Kanazawa or Toyama and change to local train in Shin-Takaoka. At Festival time they prepare shuttle bus from Tonami Station to the venue.

Thankful to the people who put efforts on creating such a beautiful flower garden, lucky enough to be able to visit and experience that said fair. #thingstodo Beautiful tulip gardens, I came here when the place were holding a tulip festival and it was very sunny day. Quite a romantic place for couples to visit and enjoying the view. I was looking around a garden of white tulips and encounter a unique tulip that has a half red half white colors. There is a photo and print service, restaurant, and souvenir shop.

#thingstodo I was particularly impressed by their unique technology of expediting or delaying the tulip blooming season...a much better way to manage and ensure the tulips are in bloom during the fixed period of their Tulip Festival every year!!! I definitely recommend going there for a visit even when it is not the usual tulip season since there are blooming tulips 🌷 all year round inside!! The 360-degree glass display of 🌷 is fabulous...smell so nice!!!
