The Shrine of the Monkey God in Yaowarat
#Travel along the electric train line Invite you to worship and ask for blessings at the end of the old year and welcome the new year at the Heng Chia Shrine, Rama 4, Yaowarat area. It is a Chinese section that has been in Yaowarat area for a long time. Before, the Heng Chia Shrine was in Wat Traimit before moving to Rama 4 Road. At the shrine, there is the god Tai Siew Hok Chow in the form of an arhat and the goddess Guan Yin. People like to go there to ask for blessings for success, business, and work. Families often bring their children to ask for blessings for their studies and competitive exams. There are coins and Heng Chia flags for rent. Those who want to worship do not need to prepare their own offerings because the shrine has incense and oil lamps for making merit for 40 baht each. There is also a shop selling fruit offerings next to it.
How to get there: MRT Hua Lamphong and walk another 300 meters.

Special Chinese temple attractions in Chinatown, Bangkok, Thailand: Sun Wukong Shrine, a great place to check in and take photos📸Pray for blessings
#BangkokAttractions
Bangkok, Thailand, is a world-famous tourist resort city. Thousands of tourists come to Bangkok every day for sightseeing and vacation. Bangkok's Chinatown is Bangkok's most famous and prosperous commercial district. This time I recommend a very special Chinese temple attraction in Chinatown: Sun Wukong Shrine. The shrine is located behind Rama 4 Road or Wat Traimit in Chinatown. This is the first Sun Wukong shrine in Thailand. It was built during the reign of King Rama II and has a history of hundreds of years. There is a beautiful oil painting in the temple, telling the story of Sun Wukong, which is very exquisite. You can take photos📸. Free admission without tickets.

Worship the Monkey God at Yaowarat
Today, we will take you to worship at the shrine of the Sun God (Tai Siew Hok Chow) in Yaowarat area. It is more convenient than you think!! 🪷
The way to get there is not difficult. We recommend taking the MRT and getting off at Hua Lamphong Station, Exit 1, and following Google Map for no more than 5 minutes. ✨️
The Sun God shrine is compact. Originally, this shrine was located in the area of Wat Sam Chin (Wat Traimit). The shrine has a golden statue of Tai Siew Hok Chow that is over 200 years old. It is a statue that was brought from China and has been revered by Chinese and Chinese-Thai people for a long time. People like to go there to worship and ask for blessings for success, career, and finances. Parents often take their children to worship and ask for blessings for competitive exams. ✨️
The shrine has incense and lamp oil for worship, each set for 40 baht. The first way to worship is to face the road to worship the gods of heaven and earth. Then, stick the incense in the first pot and face the Sun God statue to pray and stick the incense in the second pot. Then, add lamp oil and the ceremony is complete. After lighting the incense outside, walk into the shrine to pay respect and ask for blessings up close again. Some days, the temple will have holy water for sprinkling for good luck. 🙏
If you want to bring offerings such as oranges, pears, peaches, or auspicious desserts, you can do so. The shrine has a tray for you to place them on. After you make an offering, don't forget to take it back to eat or distribute it to the homeless people in the area. 🍊
Opening hours⏰️ Monday - Friday 06:00 - 16:00, Saturday - Sunday 06:00 - 17:00
