Kanto's Strongest Power Spot □Mimune Shrine 📍Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture I wanted to visit the Kanto's strongest power spot, so I drove about 2 hours from Tokyo to the area around Chichibu Station, and then drove about 1.5 hours each way from Chichibu Station to the top of the mountain where Mimune Shrine is located. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the main hall, but it's a gentle slope, so it's perfect for autumn hiking. After passing through the large torii gate, there is a gorgeous gate before going to the main hall. The road to the main hall is quiet, and it feels like there is a sacred air flowing somewhere. After praying at the main hall, I also prayed at the large sacred tree, and thought I would look at the mountains from a place where I climbed a few stairs, but the top was foggy. I was able to see a fantastic view that looked like heaven, so this was good in itself! There was a restaurant at Mimune Shrine, but I had Chichibu gourmet miso potatoes for a snack. Seibu Chichibu Station 🚉 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 For those coming to Chichibu from Ikebukuro, Chichibu Station on the Seibu Line is overwhelmingly popular. As soon as you arrive, you'll be able to experience the atmosphere of Chichibu. It's like you're being greeted by a CHICHIBU objet d'art. As you'd expect from a hot spring area, there's also a "Matsuri no Yu" hot spring right next to the station. There are souvenir shops and restaurants inside, and just looking at them makes you feel happy. You can also time it right to take the Laview Express! It's extremely comfortable and quiet. Chichibu Shrine ⛩️ 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Chichibu Shrine was founded when Chichibuhiko enshrined his ancestor during the reign of Emperor Sujin, the 10th emperor of Japan. Chichibuhiko is the 10th generation descendant of Yatogamikane, who was appointed as the first kuni no miyatsuko of Chichibu Province. This is a popular shrine that most people stop by when they visit Chichibu. This time, I visited the shrine after touring various places in Chichibu and learning about the festival at the Chichibu Festival Hall. It was close to closing time, but the shrine was lit up🔦, so I experienced a different atmosphere at Chichibu Shrine than usual. I watched the shrine building close and my trip came to an end. Hahasoreisha Shrine ⛩️ 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Hahasoreisha Shrine is an external shrine to Chichibu Shrine. It is pronounced "Hahasoreisha." It is adjacent to the Chichibu Festival Hall and is enshrined at the back. According to the shrine's legend, it was built using materials from the remains of the old shrine building donated by Hotaka Shrine in Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture. The "Haha" (柞) comes from the name of the grove of Chichibu Shrine, "Haha no Mori" (柞 Forest). Chichibu Festival Hall 🏮 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 The Chichibu Night Festival is held every year. This facility provides easy-to-understand information about the festival and exhibits materials and other information. The festival is held on fixed dates, on December 2nd (Yoimiya) and 3rd (Osai). As soon as you enter, you will be greeted by huge floats and Kasaboko. After a verbal explanation from the facility staff, you can enjoy the video. The video is 180 degrees and is dynamic, involving the floats and Kasaboko. The speedy movements were so fast that my eyes were looking in all directions, so I enjoyed watching it until the end! You can also see it from the second floor, so you can observe every corner. There are also other exhibition spaces. As soon as I found out about the Chichibu Night Festival, I wanted to see the actual site! Wadou Ruins 🪙 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Wado Kurodani is said to be the birthplace of currency. This is where native copper was discovered 💡, and it now remains as a ruin and has been turned into a tourist spot. You can reach the site by walking up the slope from Hijiri Shrine and along the mountain path. You can easily find it as there is a 5m-tall Wadou Kaichin monument. To the right of this monument you can see two open-cut mines. In front of you is a copper washing pond with clear water. It was very clear and had a pleasant coolness that felt great. I tried washing some money here! Hijiri Shrine ⛩️ 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 The shrine began when a sacred fence was erected and worshipped after the discovery of Japanese copper and the Imperial Court presented it to the shrine. It was then moved to its current location as a pure land. The main deity is Kanayamahiko-no-Mikoto, and the co-deities are Amaterasu Omikami, Kunitokotachi-no-Mikoto, and Emperor Jimmu. In 708, copper was first excavated in Japan, and this shrine is where the casting of the Wado-kaichin coins began. As a result, it is a popular shrine that brings good fortune in money and is visited by worshippers from all over the country. Inside the shrine grounds, there are a row of signs 🪧 bearing happy reports of people who have received blessings.
