Talay Ban National Park is located in Mueang District, Narathiwat Province. It covers an area of approximately 196 square kilometers. It was established in 1980 to conserve mangrove forests, freshwater lakes, and local biodiversity. The name "Talay Ban" comes from the local language, which means "sea of abundance."

Talay Ban National Park is located in Wang Prachan Subdistrict, Khuan Don District, Satun Province. It covers an area of approximately 196 square kilometers and was officially declared a national park in 1980. This park is an important ecological conservation area in the South, consisting of a large freshwater lake, tropical rainforests, and beautiful limestone mountains.
Park Highlights
Talay Ban Lake: A large freshwater lake of approximately 125 rai, which was formed by the collapse of the earth's crust, amidst complex mountains, rich in various species of plants and aquatic animals.
Nature Study Bridge: There is a long wooden bridge around the lake for walking and studying the plants in the wetlands.
Ton Pliu Waterfall: A small and beautiful waterfall located within the park, suitable for tourists who want to hike and experience nature up close.

Natural resources
The Thale Ban National Park is rich in biodiversity. It is home to a variety of wildlife, including several species of hornbills, gorals, leopards, marbled cats, and endemic amphibians such as the "toad". It is also a place to study the ancient Sakai tribe, or forest ngo, who live in the forest area near the park.

Getting there
From Satun town, take Highway No. 406 towards Khuan Don District, then turn onto Highway No. 4184 towards Wang Prachan Subdistrict, a distance of approximately 30 kilometers. You can travel by private car or public bus.
