All Moments About Yasothon
Suang Yasothon
Secret bar hidden in a breakfast restaurant!!
This bar is not exactly a secret because it is located in the middle of Yasothon city. The shop is decorated in a Chinese-Isan style, which is consistent with the name of the shop, Suang, which in Isan means refreshing. In Chinese, the pronunciation is similar but has the same meaning. This is the origin of Suang. This is a chill shop with a comfortable atmosphere for those who don't like the chaos of drinkers. You can come and chat with the owner. He said he was lonely, lol. The shop focuses on selling various beers, including local craft beers, along with snacks selected by Yi Zhen, who said that snacks go great with beer. After a night of hangovers, everyone can come and sip hot noodles or have breakfast at the shop. Because in the morning from 7 am, the shop opens as a breakfast restaurant under the name Kopi Der. It can be said that this is a one-stop shop for all drinking needs.
Suang is open every Wednesday - Monday.
17:30-00:00 hrs. There is convenient parking in front of the shop. The landmark is the black building in front of Big Cat Mart Yasothon.

RETRO BAR x FRIENDS
A small 90s bar that fans of Family Games, the first games, must be excited 🤣 This place is decorated in a retro style that makes you feel like you've entered the world of 90s games. There are both reflective light bulbs and coin-operated game machines and free Family Games. Dora is one of the people who fell for this game machine. Haha, I didn't miss it. Even though I'm a girl like this, I grew up with Bomberman, Pacman, Rockman, and Contra games. 😂 So I went to play a little bit to relieve my nostalgia.
This place focuses on selling Korean food and drinks, soju, beer, and cocktails. The special menu that the shop created is based on the game's name, which is a cocktail menu called Rockman and Pacman. I personally like it. The taste is good and easy for those who have just started drinking. The Korean food is also okay. There are many varieties. For Dora, I think the taste is not the best, but it's okay. The atmosphere in the shop is friendly, simple, and comfortable. I like it.

CHYN CAFE YASOTHON
A minimalist black and white cafe, clean and quiet, perfect for working or reading. Most of the drinks here are very diverse. On the day Dora went, she chose to try Thai tea coffee (can't remember the name of the menu 😅), which tasted really good.
The downside might be the parking lot, although there is a parking lot in front of the shop, but because the shop is very close to the corner of the big hospital intersection, it's quite difficult and dangerous to park. I recommend moving the parking lot a bit further up and walking back.

"Chantima Farm"
Chantima Farm is located at Ban Tak Thong, Mueang District, Yasothon Province. This is both a cafe with a variety of drinks and food to serve customers, including made-to-order food. For coffee, if you order, the staff will ask what kind you like, what kind of smell, what kind of roasting. The service is excellent, the food is delicious, the drinks are good, the price is not expensive. And behind the shop is a horse farm for those who are interested to go in and learn as well. #Yasothon Cafe
SAFE ZONE SLOW BAR
Escape the rain and relax at a secret cafe in a small alley in the deep old town area of Yasothon city.
When I say secret, it really is secret. The shop is definitely built next to the owner's house. You have to park on the side of the road and walk into a small alley to find the shop with a spirit house in front of the shop. It's a small shop with interesting decorations and layouts. Everything looks simple, in a minimalist white tone, but it has its own charm. Walking into the shop gives a warm, relieved feeling, like being in a safe zone, just like the shop's name. And it seems that the owner is a cat lover, judging from the stickers on the coffee cups. 😁
Here, there are both specialty coffee drinks and coffee beans to choose from, depending on the owner's selection. There are single-dish meals, snacks, and homemade bakery.
The menu that Dora would like to recommend is the crispy chicken with basil. What is it? It's so spicy. Soft fragrant rice is a perfect match.

🐸 King Kankak and King Taen's palace 🐉
#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck
The public park along Khlong Chiam in the heart of Yasothon city has a large toad (Phaya Kan Khak) and Naga statues (Viman Phaya Thaen), which are inside a museum that tells the history of the legend of Phaya Kan Khak and Naga, along with local traditions and cultures.
🐸 According to the legend of Phaya Kan Khak, it is an interesting and culturally significant story of the Isan people, especially in Yasothon province. The story of Bodhisattva Kan Khak who fought with Phaya Thaen to bring rain to the villagers is more than just a folk tale, but also represents the beliefs, hopes, and struggles of the people against hardships.
According to the belief of Phaya Thaen: Phaya Thaen is the god of rain that Isan people respect. But when Phaya Thaen is dissatisfied with humans, he will withhold the rain, causing drought.
Bodhisattva Kan Khak: Represents compassion and helping others. He fought with Phaya Thaen to bring happiness to the villagers.
Lighting of rockets: This is a tradition inherited from the legend of Phaya Kan Khak. To worship Phaya Taen and ask for rain

Wat Maha That, Thailand
#bangkoktrip
Wat Mahathat in Ayutthaya is a mesmerizing temple that holds historical and cultural significance. The most iconic image associated with this temple is the Buddha head entwined in the roots of a tree, a captivating sight that reflects the passage of time and nature's reclamation. This image alone makes Wat Mahathat a must-visit destination for travelers.
The temple's expansive ruins, intricate architecture, and rows of stone Buddha statues offer a glimpse into Ayutthaya's glorious past.

CHANTIMA FARM COFFEE
The only horse farm cafe in Yasothon!!!
A cafe in a corner that anyone who walks in will be amazed by the minimalist decoration of the shop but also the chill of a camper. The front area is a cafe that has a complete menu of food and drinks, but the recommended menu of this shop is "Krapow with lava egg" with a strong taste mixed with the smoothness of the runny eggs. Oh, it's so good!!! I recommend it.
Next to the back of the shop is an outdoor area that overlooks the horse farm. The atmosphere in the evening is very good. There are cold drinks served. Plus, we can walk and touch and play with the horses. Or if you want to learn to ride a horse, you can ask the shop. They also teach.

Old Town of Ban Sing Tha
The area of Khum Ban Sing Tha, which is located within the municipality, is an old town area that is mentioned in the history of the city's founding. Currently, there are still old shophouses with beautiful shapes and patterns that have been well preserved, making it suitable for tourism in local arts and culture. At present, traces of development can still be seen in the Ban Sing Tha community. The villagers in the community all help each other and live simply and peacefully. There are old shophouses that are beautiful with Sino-Portuguese architecture from the same era as Phuket Province. The roads around the Sing Tha area are shortcuts connecting communities, markets, schools, and temples, which are the center of Buddhists. There is also the City Pillar Shrine, built in spectacular Chinese architecture. This area is a source of making fermented fish and Lod Chong Yasothon, famous souvenirs that you shouldn't miss trying.
