Lamai restaurant is situated across the beach in Patong and is a large restaurant with both inside and outside space. The atmosphere is very sophisticated and they have an extensive menu which caters to a lot of tastes. The outdoor area is covered in case there is an unexpected rainstorm (as it did with us!) I would recommend any of the local Thai dishes in this restaurant as the ones that we had were delicious. They sometimes have a live band playing in the evening, which adds to the atmosphere, and the food is very good. The service is very quick and the staff are delightful #food

As our flight with Jetstar was rescheduled from 9:50 to 10:45pm to 1am to 1:35am and still showing delayed on arrival instead of punctual, we had no choice but to kill some time in Phuket, which was not really that difficult. But to locate an authentic massage, where you can find in abundance but doesn’t know if they are authentic nor good, we went in as it shows in their front entrance “No Sex”, ha ha ha. Ali (from Pakistan married to a Thai) was extremely friendly yet not pushy and the boss Naree came out to greet us, we were skeptical of course. The whole experience not only turns out well but great, as the masseuse were great and knew what they were doing. I used to do some Korean martial arts and had experience of massage after our training taught by the master who needs us to relieve his aching body, so naturally I learnt some skills and needed a hard massage for my battered body. But of course you can have the choice of a strong massage or a soft massage of your choice, all you need is to make sure you inform them in advance. This place had more than just massage, they have foot massage, hairstylist and facial treatments too. All prices are clearly stated in the price menu. I spent Christmas in phuket back in 2019, before the Pandemic. Since then I have reminisced about my sunny Christmas, until this year, when I finally returned. The memories didn't disappoint. I'm fact, now I'm possibly even considering relocating. This time I stayed at The Aim Hotel in the middle of patong town. It's in a perfect location, with a street food market outside the window (Yum!), a shopping Mall across the road and 15 minute walk down Patong's famous street to the beach. If scooting around town is not your thing, or you want to enjoy a few cocktails whilst exploring, you can take the phuket bus along the coast, hopping off at various beaches to explore. Phuket Thailand is a very relaxing place. I stayed in Beyond Patong hotel which is very closed to Patong beach and night market, just 5-10 mins distance. Street food and massages are accessible.
