Tu Kap Khao, a famous local restaurant in Phuket that everyone must come to eat or check in here. We called to reserve a table with the restaurant about 1 week in advance (because we were afraid that there would be too many people and no seats🤣). When the time we reserved arrived, we got a table. The menu has pictures, making it easy to see or order food. We ordered only a few dishes, but everything was delicious, especially the crab curry and noodles. It was very tasty and easy to eat. As for other menus, there was pork Hong curry, which is only available in the South, and pomelo salad, which was very flavorful and satisfying in every dish. Address - Located in the old town of Phuket, Phang Nga Road. If you drive, you can park on the side of the road. They have a lot of parking spaces on the side of the road. Atmosphere/Location - Very good. It feels like eating in an old restaurant. It is decorated in a simple and luxurious style. Every table and every seat is comfortable for customers. And since we were walking around Phuket Old Town and it was drizzling all day, we wanted to find some hot desserts to eat. And we came across a sign for Kanom Jee Jo with a big, fancy icon of the dessert. It was so cute that we could see it from far away. But when we went to buy it, Kanom Jee Jo was out of stock. So we tried the Phuket version of Kanom Krok, which is different from the usual Kanom Krok that we've tried before. It's dry and crispy and has many toppings to choose from. Every topping is delicious, especially the 'Bee Go Moi' topping, which is black sticky rice that has been boiled until soft. The texture is chewy and not too sweet. Overall, it's very delicious. "Tu Kab Khao, Phuket Local Cuisine" This is a restaurant I highly recommend. Every dish here is delicious. Today, we ordered Stir-fried Melinjo Leaves with Egg, which was quite well-prepared. Another dish we loved was the Fried Pork Belly with Fish Sauce. It was perfectly crispy and had a salty flavor that paired wonderfully with rice. Additionally, they have other recommended dishes such as Moo Hong (braised pork belly), Pomelo Salad with Fresh Shrimp and Minced Pork, and Spicy Cockle Curry. Tu Kab Khao is one of the handful of restaurants in Phuket recommended by the Michelin Guide. The crab curry dish with vermicelli noodles are highly recommended, and I will say the flavors are strong, but reviews often warn that dishes are spicier than guests typically expect, so it pays to do some research beforehand. We definitely enjoyed the pandan juice though to help cool off from the spice.
