Pay homage to the Lady Nang Non and Sergeant Sam.
It is recommended to travel up Mae Sai. You can go straight in without having to go up the mountain. From the cave entrance, there is a maintenance fee included, which is only 60 baht per person. The inside of the cave is very beautiful. There is a nature study trail and a memorial to Sergeant Sam, the hero of the 13 Wild Boars incident. #13WildBoars #KhunNamNangNon #ChiangRai

The origin of the unforgettable legend of the 13 Wild Boars
October 16, 2022, the first day of opening for tourists this year. But this year, there was heavy rain, so we couldn't go down and walk inside the cave. The water level is still high up to the mouth of the cave, which officials said is similar to the water level in 2018 when 13 Wild Boars were trapped in the cave. After the cave incident, Khun Nam Nang Non became more well-known and became a tourist attraction that generates income for people in the community. Anyone passing through Mae Sai should stop by. #Tham Luang Khun Nam Nang Non #Visit Chiang Rai #Mae Sai Trip

Tham Luang Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park⛰️
There is no one who does not know about Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non Cave. In the past, there was an event that was famous all over the world. It was caused by a group of football players called the Wild Boars gang who got stuck in this cave. Therefore, they had to ask for help from volunteers from all over the world to help with this mission by helping all 13 children to get out safely. And they succeeded.
Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park is located in the Doi Nang Non National Forest Reserve, Pong Pha Subdistrict, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. It covers an area of approximately 5,000 rai. Most of the terrain is large mountains in a row. And the forest is a mixed deciduous forest full of various species of trees.
The distinctive feature of Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park is the large mountain range that looks like a long woman lying down, forming various mountains.
The legend tells the story of a princess of Chiang Rung, Sibsong Panna, who ran away with her lover, a horse trainer, into the forest. During that time, the princess was pregnant. She could not travel any further and had to stop and rest on the plains along the Mekong River. The horse trainer volunteered to go find supplies, not knowing that it would be the last time the two would see each other. The horse trainer was killed by soldiers sent by the princess's father when the princess found out. He was so sad that he stuck a hairpin into his head. The blood that flowed was a river. The body that lay stretched from south to north was Doi Nang Non. The protruding belly became Doi Tung as we see it today.
Today, Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park has become a famous tourist attraction in Chiang Rai Province. Both Thai and foreign tourists are interested in the scene of the 13 Wild Boars in 2018. Therefore, many people have come to visit Tham Luang.
🏛️Address: Ban Chong, Village 9, Pong Pha Subdistrict, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province

After watching a movie or series on the streaming platforms
I went to see what it was like. The inside of the cave was damp and very narrow. I didn't dare to go deep in, but it was exciting. Especially knowing that there was a history of goosebumps!
.
Travel: After parking the car in the parking lot, there will be a songthaew to pick us up. We walked to the queue. Once we got on the songthaew, there will be another car to pick us up to go to the cave.

Khun Nam Nang Non has a large pond called "Sara Khun Nam Morakot", which has green water due to the plants in the water and the reflection of the leaves around the pond.
This pond is also the point where the stream flows into Tham Luang Cave, where many years ago, 13 young football players, the Wild Boars, were trapped in the cave.

Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non National Park
Famous place from the incident of 13 Wild Boars trapped inside
This is my first time here. How to get there
Leave Chiang Rai city, travel to Mae Sai district. Before reaching Mae Sai district, you will see a sign for the entrance to Tham Luang cave on the left. Turn according to the sign to enter.
After driving for a while, you will find a parking lot prepared by the community. We do not have to pay for parking. Then pay for a local songthaew to go inside. It costs 20 baht per person, covering both the outbound and return trips.
The songthaew will take us to both the Emerald Pool and Tham Luang cave.
After parking at the Emerald Pool, we have to walk about 200 meters.
While at Tham Luang, the songthaew will stop at the entrance and let us get off to take a tram or songthaew to see Tham Luang cave (donate according to your faith).
The inside of the cave is currently built to the first chamber. There are displays of rescue equipment, clothing, and other items used at that time.
The entrance hall is very large. The air inside is cool and comfortable. The walkway is convenient. There are lights along the way.
On the way back, walk out of the cave, take a tram, and get off at the songthaew stop. Then take a songthaew back to the parking lot #Tham Luang Khun Nam Nang Non

Tham Luang Khun Nam Nang Non Cave
Invite to travel in the footsteps of the 13 Wild Boars who were trapped in Tham Luang Cave. After the incident where the young soccer players and their coach went to play in Tham Luang Cave and a flash flood occurred, they were unable to get out and were trapped in the cave for several days. After that, it was renovated and turned into a tourist attraction that anyone who comes to Chiang Rai must come to. There is a tram at the entrance that will take you to the front of the cave. You can walk inside the cave and see some evidence from the incident. Outside the cave, there is a monument to Sergeant Sam, the hero who saved the boys, along with a museum of the story to see.
