Sai Yok Noi Waterfall is very beautiful with a lot of water flowing during this rainy season. The water is perfect for swimming, very cold and refreshing.💦🌊📍This is one of the most popular check-in spots right now. The hottest spot is the staircase where the waterfall flows through, which is very beautiful. The path up is easy to walk and not slippery at all. If you come early on a weekday, there aren't many people. Free admission‼️ Opens at 8:30 AM. This is another place I highly recommend visiting during the rainy season. Located in Kanchanaburi, Thailand's largest province, is the site of Mueang Sing historical park. Getting There - it's best to drive there since it is located in the countryside around a 25 minute drive from Kanchanaburi city. However, there is a rural railway station nearby. Attractions - The main attraction of the site is the two temples, dating back over 1000 years. It is rare to find such old historical sites in Thailand. Food & Restaurants - There are some cafe's located on site and there are more shops currently under construction. Facilities - There is ample parking on site and a clean public toilet. My personal review of the historical park is that it is what every tourist imagines when travelling to South East Asia. The temple ruins are located in a jungle area and have become overgrown with trees which plays up to the imagery often depicted in western tv and film. The site is not busy and you have a lot of freedom to walk around and explore and take photographs with very few people in the background. Pieces of horrible memory left from World War ll The Hellfire Pass as known the Deadliest spot when Japanese Army need to build the railway to transport soldiers weapons and stuffs to Burma. Many POW were died here. When you walk along the trails you will see some stuffs from real events, Name tags or even the pictures of loves one who lost their family. Interesting to spend a day here. A replay of Thai in the olden days. Good effort to make it very real with people and animals (cows) living here. You can exchange at a rate of 1:5 obtain the ancient coins for the purchase of food within the park. Unused coins can be exchanged back to cash at the entrance/ exit. Lots of good photography opportunities. Here you can learn about Thai lifestyle of the earlier days via the Old building structures here. Schools also arrange tour groups here to study the culture, this is one reason why the Thais are so traditional and they follow closely to their culture. Very beautiful place. #Get a discount without relying on luck We found a hotel by the river and had a private spa at River Kwai Village Hotel. The room rate included 2 meals. Wow 😍 1. Including dinner in the evening when we arrived, there was a barbecue set of pork, sitting and watching the view by the river, private. And 2. Including breakfast, it was an American buffet. We liked that there were Khanom Krok and soy milk to eat. It was the first time we had breakfast at the hotel as Khanom Krok. It was delicious, soft, and reminded us of our childhood. After breakfast, we boarded a boat at 9 am at the hotel's pier to cross to the 15-bath spa, which was on the opposite side of the hotel. It was very private. This spa was an additional package. We could soak in the water all day. If we wanted to go back at any time, there would be a boat to take us back to the hotel at any time. If you don't want to take the boat to the spa, you can walk around the hotel to relax. The atmosphere is forested. There are 2 swimming pools and a water slide to play with. But we chose the normal pool because we didn't have to walk far. The hotel lets you choose whether you like to sleep on a wooden raft by the river or in a building by the river. We chose to sleep in a building, which is a high-angle atmosphere. It's good to see things far away. 🌷

Perched right next to the river, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the water and the iconic tracks clinging to the cliffs. It's not every day you can enjoy a meal with such a historic backdrop! We kept it simple and ordered rice with minced meat, a classic Thai dish bursting with flavor. The savory minced meat, seasoned with fragrant spices, paired perfectly with the fluffy rice. Sitting at our table with the river flowing below and the gentle hum of life around us, it felt like time slowed down. As we ate, a train rumbled by on the bridge, adding an extra layer of excitement to the experience. Tham Krasae Restaurant isn't just a place to eat - it's where good food meets incredible scenery.

Tham Krasae, part of the Death Railway from Thailand to Myanmar, is a historical site with a railway and scenic photo spots. There is parking available, and as you walk along the path, there are vendors on both sides. When you reach the curved railway by the River Kwai, the view is stunning. Following the railway tracks, there is a separate path leading to Tham Krasae Cave, where an ancient and sacred Buddha statue is enshrined. Walking along the railway over the River Kwai requires caution as it is a thrilling spot, but it offers beautiful views of Kanchanaburi.

Sometimes it's the little things that matters when it comes to hotels, especially luxury hotels. The architecture and design is spectacular, but there's a lot of ware and tear. The in-room water decoration and jacuzzi system had residues developing on them showing inconsistent cleaning. The staff seriously needs more training, they are well intentioned but clearly not well trained. We were told that dining in room is fine, then told by the restaurant staff that they want us to only dine in the dining hall, which was really loud. Then there's the spa, which had a really skilled masseuse but the routine is what you can get in any massage parlour outside a five star hotel. We were shoved into a room changing room that had no door, and weren't informed where things were. It's new year and we didn't want to raise issues, but they can't seriously expect brand trust and value for money feeling out of services like this. #travel #familytravel #poolhotel
