A famous temple in the Bang Krachao River bend
#Songkran2024Travel destinations Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok, a famous temple in the Bang Krachao River bend, has a ferry pier to cross the river to Bangkok. The highlight is that motorcycles can cross the river together for only 10 baht per motorcycle. In addition, this temple has a 100-year-old ordination hall, many large Buddha statues, and Thao Wetsuwan for us to pay homage to.
🚲 Another highlight is that this temple has many bicycle rental shops for riding around the Bang Krachao area. The price is 50 baht per bike/day. Anyone who visits that area can stop by to worship at the temple and make merit, as well as ride a bike around the Bang Krachao River bend.

Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market
#BangkokTourism
It's a bit of a pain to get to Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market, but it's worth it. Take a motorbike taxi from near Terminal 21 to Klong Toey Port for about 40B, then take a leaf-like boat (10B) to the opposite bank. There is a bicycle rental shop, but I don't recommend it because it's quite far away and the road is not straight. You won't be able to enjoy the tranquil scenery, so you'll just have to look at the map on your smartphone. There are motorbike taxis wearing yellow jackets, so you can get to the floating market for 30B.
The market itself is large, and there are several free toilets (no toilet paper). There are few price tags in English because it's for locals, but I think you can understand them somehow. The prices are written, so you won't be ripped off. There are several shops lined up like a food court along the river, so you can order by looking at the menu. Most of the shops along the river serve boat noodles. There is a rest area like an old private house in the middle, where you can eat the food you bought. You can eat old Bangkok sweets and it's reasonable at 20B per plate.
On the way back, if you don't like the leaf boat, take a motorbike taxi to Bang Kajao Port (20B). There are motorbike taxis near the parking lot, so look for them. From Bang Kajao Port, take a larger boat (5B) to the opposite shore. There are apparently songthaews from there to the BTS station, but I couldn't find them. Instead, I asked a motorbike taxi to take me to the station, and it cost 25B.
By the way, on the way there, there was a lot of transfers and I arrived at the floating market in 30 minutes. Although it is a floating market, there are no boat tours, and it seems that there are some sales on the boats, but not all.
Unlike the famous weekend market, which is full of tourists, there are hardly any tourists to see, and it is a market that feels like a local market, so I recommend it if you have time.

I came to do some business near Phra after shopping, it was already late afternoon because I hadn't had lunch yet. I felt very hungry so I stopped by to find something to eat. I found Khao Man Kai 62 at the entrance of Soi Suk Sawat 62. The shop opened in the late afternoon. When we went in to order food, the children selling things were just getting ready to open.
I ordered 1 plate of minced chicken and offal for 100฿ and 2 plates of plain Khao Man Kai. I was surprised that they gave me a lot of rice.
The rice was cooked beautifully and the grains were delicious. The price of the Khao Man Kai was 45฿, which is a lot. I was full.
