Wat Bangplee Yai Klang
Address - Sukhapiban 3 Road, Bangplee Yai Subdistrict, Bangplee District, Samut Prakan Province
Directions - Take Bangplee King Kaew Road, go straight to Bangpoo Viewpoint Bridge, keep going down and turn left on Sukhapiban 3 Road before going up the bridge over Khlong Samrong. Then go straight, there will be Bangplee Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization on the left, go straight for another 50 meters, look to the right, there will be the gate of Wat Bangplee Yai Klang. There is a lot of parking, you can park on the way before entering the temple or in the parking lot of Wat Bangplee Yai Klang School.
Atmosphere/Location - When you enter the temple, there will be a pond in front and in the middle will be the Atthakowit Phutthakun Hall in the middle of the pond. You can walk across the bridge to worship. In addition, in the middle of the temple, there will be a large reclining Buddha. Inside will be a very large reclining Buddha image. The temple is quite large and there is also a back area that intersects with Sukhapiban 4 Road. There is Phra Maha Chedi Phisan Wutthikit Mongkhon Mahachan Buchit, a very wide and tall pagoda with many floors. You can go up to the top. There is an elevator and stairs to go up. During normal days, there are not many people. After entering, the pagoda has 9 floors. The lower floor has a Buddha statue of Metta Maha Lap for worship. Incense and candles from the temple are available. Donate at the donation box if you wish. The top floor contains the relics of the Buddha. The atmosphere inside the pagoda is cool, not hot like outside.
Outside, there is a replica of the Dhammakaya Stupa, which is the place where the Buddha gave his first sermon. The pagoda is quite high and looks very beautiful from the front of the temple. Recommendation: If you don't want to walk through the temple, drive to Sukhaphiban 4 Road. In front of the pagoda, there is a parking lot that can accommodate 30-40 cars.
During the day, you may have to wait a bit, but there are always devotees coming to worship. In the middle of the temple, there are several pavilions used for funeral ceremonies.
For those who want to drink coffee, there is a coffee shop of the temple called W.N.K. Wat Coffee. The shop is located in the parking lot by the pond in front of the temple. You can go and support them. For those who want to eat, in front of the temple on Sukhapiban 3 Road, there are many restaurants, whether it's rice or noodles.
