Trip to pay respect to Ta Khai, Yang Yai Temple, Khao Phlai Dam, Khanom Cafe
My friend went to make merit at Wat Chedi. I went with him but didn't make merit for anything. I went to worship the Buddha for good luck. This trip, we went in the morning and returned in the evening.
By contacting a car with a driver for 1,200 baht, including gas. Early in the morning, we boarded a plane at Don Mueang Airport to land at Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport at around 8:30. The driver was already waiting before the scheduled time. We took him to the first place, Wat Yang Yai, to pay respect to Ta Phran Boon. They said that if you come to Nakhon Si and don't pay respect to Ta Phran Boon, it's like you haven't been there. It's an old temple. The second place was Wat Ta Khai or Wat Chedi. The driver stopped to buy things to make merit at the shop and brought them to the temple. He also took us to make merit. After making merit and paying respect to the Buddha, the driver took us to eat Khanom Jeen but I forgot the name of the shop. 😅 Then the driver took us to Khanom Road to take pictures on the road that most tourists like to take pictures on. He also took us up to Khao Phlai Dam, which is a tourist attraction. However, when we went, it might have been during COVID so there weren't many people. We went to take pictures while looking down at the beautiful sea. The entrance fee is 20 baht per person. There is a photo service with a frame for 120 baht per picture. After going down from Khao Phlai Dam, we went to a cafe called Hula Beach to find coffee and cake to eat to help us wake up. There are also cocktails for sale. The cafe is right next to the sea. You can walk down to play in the water. At around 15:00, I went out to find the driver to take me to eat before going back. I went to Krua Rim Klong restaurant because the restaurant is next to the canal. The food here is not expensive and delicious. There were a lot of customers there. I actually wanted to go to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat, a temple that is a symbol of the city, but I didn't have enough time because I finished eating at 5 pm and the temple was closed. So the driver took me to Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport to catch the 20:20 flight back. I waited in the airport for several hours before eating again. The coffee shop in the airport had dumplings, steamed buns, bread, coffee, and various drinks. I sat and waited and slept. At 19:00, I went to the gate to wait to board the flight back to Don Mueang Airport. That's the end of the day trip. If you don't have much time, you can go and visit many places in one day. However, I recommend leaving early in the morning. This is the end of the review for the trip to Nakhon Si Thammarat with close friends.
