Historic buildings
It is one of five temples built by Rama III in Bangkok and is now somewhat deserted. The statues in the courtyard were brought to Thailand as ballast when returning from a rice ship bound for China. From the Chinese-style polygonal pagoda, it can be seen that King Rama III loved Chinese architecture. The temple area is large, but the buildings are scattered. There is a Chinese-style stone archway at the entrance, which has been around for some years. The temple is full of Chinese elements. There are many stone pillars, stone towers, stone houses and dragon columns in the courtyard. There is a bell tower in the courtyard, which houses a bronze bell which is the largest in Thailand. A shed was built in front of the main hall, and inside it was dedicated to the Three Treasures Buddha, who was Zheng He of that year.

Wat Kalyanamit Woramahawihan
Another recommended temple that people like to go to when worshiping at 9 temples in Bangkok is Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawihan. It is a beautiful temple that has been renovated, clean, not crowded, easy to travel, not far from Itsaraphap MRT station. For those who like to make merit and worship, I recommend it. Come to worship to enhance your luck. Maybe there will be a good friend who will lead you to find good things, making your life prosperous. #Worship #MakeMerit #TravelThailand #mytripvlog #Worship9Temples

Pay homage to Sampokong at Wat Kalayanamit, Bangkok, in the Chinese style
Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawihan was built in the area of the former “Kudi Chin Village” by Chao Phraya Nikorn Bodin (To Kalyanamitra), the progenitor of the Kalyanamitra family, who was the acting Samuha Nayok. He donated his house and nearby land, which was originally a village where Chinese monks lived, to be built as a temple in 1825 and presented to His Majesty as a royal temple. King Nangklao, Rama III, bestowed the name “Wat Kalayanamit” and built the royal chapel and the principal Buddha image, which was a large Buddha image named Phra Phuttha Trairattanayok or Luang Pho To, with the intention of making it similar to the old capital, i.e. having a large Buddha image outside the city walls like Wat Phanan Choeng. Luang Pho To is highly revered and is called Sam Po Hut Kong or Sam Po Kong in Chinese. It is a stucco Buddha statue in the Mara Vijaya attitude, with a lap width of 5 wa 3 cubits and a height of 7 wa 2 cubits and 10 inches. King Nangklao ordered its construction as a royal gift to Chao Phraya Nikorn Bodin. The foundation stone was laid on May 18, 1837. It is located inside a large chapel. The chapel houses the Pali Lai (Pa Lai) Buddha statue, which King Rama III built and gave as a royal gift. It is one of two temples in Bangkok with the principal Buddha image in the Pali Lai (Pa Lai) attitude. In front of the royal chapel is a newly built bell tower, which houses the largest giant bell in Thailand. Location: Located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, Thonburi side, at the southern mouth of the Bangkok Yai Canal, Bangkok.

Wat Kalayanamit, a beautiful temple on the banks of the Chao Phraya River
#VisitBangkok
Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawihan is a temple located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. It is a very beautiful temple. It was built during the reign of King Rama III by Chao Phraya Nikorn Bodin Mahinthara Maha Kalyanamitra (To). He donated his house and nearby land and built it as a temple in 1825. King Nangklao, Rama III, therefore named it Wat Kalayanamit.
Inside the temple, there is Luang Pho To or Phra Phuttha Trairattanayok. His intention was for it to be a large Buddha statue on the riverbank, similar to the one at Wat Phanan Choeng in Ayutthaya. Luang Pho To is highly revered, especially by the Chinese, and they call him Sam Po Hut Kong or Sam Po Kong. It is a stucco Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, 5 wa 3 cubits wide and 7 wa 2 cubits 10 inches high. It is located in the large chapel in the middle of the temple, in the middle between the small chapel and the ordination hall in front of the main chapel. It is a newly built bell tower and houses the largest giant bell in Thailand. Inside the chapel, which is smaller than the temple, is the enshrined Buddha image in the Pali Lai posture. It is considered the only temple in Thailand that has a principal Buddha image in the Pali Lai posture.

There are
There are not many people who take us on a guided tour, but the incense is still very prosperous. In the inside, I worshipped a Buddha statue, which is very tall and has a sense of majesty. The tour guide also taught us to have a special posture and need to take off your shoes. I also bumped into the clock and felt around. The temples in Thailand are really much better! It is no wonder that it is called Buddhism. This is one of the five temples built by Rama III. The distribution is relatively scattered. The Chinese elements are not uncommon. Copper tripods, stone pillars, stone towers, stone houses, Panlongzhu, etc. are inextricably linked to China. Like.
