Khao Sanam Chai Temple, Hua Hin, a 360-degree viewpoint of Hua Hin city.
Wat Khao Sanam Chai is located on Phetkasem Road, Nong Kae Subdistrict, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. It is a place for meditation, "Vipassana Vivattha Meditation Center, Prani Samrengrat Foundation", initiated by Phra Worawit Worathammo and his group who have faith in Buddhism and meditation. Therefore, they built a meditation center to spread the practice of Vipassana. When you arrive at the temple, there are Naga stairs at the entrance to the pagoda. Along the way, there are trees, flowers, and teachings as reminders at intervals until you reach the top of the mountain. On the top of the mountain, there are Buddha images and a replica of Phra That Phanom pagoda. It is also a viewpoint where you can see everything, from the temple's chapel, Hua Hin town, Khao Takiab, Suan Son Golf Course, and Royal Park Rajapruek.
To get there, pass through Hua Hin town towards Vana Nava Water Park. There will be a diversion bridge to cross the railway. Go up and continue straight on the road to Royal Park Rajapruek. When you see Soi Hua Hin 91, start slowing down and continue straight for another 200-300 meters. You will see a police checkpoint and the entrance to the temple, where there will be a plant shop and a kite shop. You can turn right up.

Wat Khao Sanam Chai
#huahintrip Whatever you do, don't just go to the main Temple building. Walk up the 150 meter small path to the Pagoda for the most magnificent views. You can pretty much get a 360 degree view if you go onto both parts East & West of this huge bare rock on which the Pagoda is placed. But for those who suffer from vertigo, beware. You have precipitous drops from either side of the rock. They placed railings to stop you falling, but they only came up to my upper thigh.
There is a nice little Bodhi Tree here and several shrines along the path. Quite a strong breeze at the top straightening the flags and creating soothing sounds with the Wind Chimes. I was here around 9.45am and there was no one else for the full hour I was there.
Definitely worth a visit, steep road up and not too much space for parking cars, though plenty for motorcycles.
