Luang Pu To Temple is the place where the largest brass statue of Luang Pho To (Somdet Phra Buddhacarya To Phrommarangsi) is enshrined. With strong faith in Somdet Phra Buddhacarya To Phrommarangsi, Mr. Sorapong Chatree, a famous movie star, initiated the establishment of the Somdet Phra Buddhacarya Foundation in Sikhiu District and built the largest statue of Luang Pho To in the world, 13 meters high and 8 meters wide, to serve as a spiritual anchor for Buddhists. With a small area of only 3 rai, which was purchased with hard work and hoped to establish a small foundation, but now, with the faith of the people who donated money, the area of the foundation has expanded to 150 rai. Some people call it “Wat Luang Pho To” because it has the statue of Somdet Phra Buddhacarya To Phrommarangsi, or “Wat Sorapong” because Sorapong was the initiator of its construction, or “Wat Non Kum” because it is located next to Wat Non Kum. The correct conclusion is “Somdet Phra Buddhacarya To Foundation Phromrangsi” Currently, the statue of Somdej Phutthachan (To Phromrangsi) is considered the largest in the world. Many people from both inside and outside the province come to pay homage. The surrounding area has beautiful and spacious scenery, suitable for relaxation. It is located on Mittraphap Road, kilometer 212.
