Wat Pa Phu Thap Boek is a meditation center of the Dhammayutika Nikaya sect, built by the villagers of Thap Boek in 1991. It covers an area of over 50 rai. The temple is surrounded by various forests, making the atmosphere cool throughout the year. It is also significant as it is the place where rainwater from the sky is collected to be presented to His Majesty King Rama IX for making holy water in the grand auspicious ceremony celebrating his 72nd birthday in 1999. In 2006, Phra Ajarn Watchara Wijitto initiated and constructed the Phra Maha That Chedi Bodhipakkhiyadhamma, a 37-spired diamond pagoda, standing 80.90 meters tall, to serve as a Buddhist sanctuary and house the relics of the Buddha, graciously bestowed by the Supreme Patriarch.
