I wanted to capture the imposing presence of the Buddha as seen in online photos, but it turns out that effect can only be achieved with a camera. However, if you're not too particular about your photos, you can still give it a try! Check out reference photo 2. (Currently, this Buddha photo spot is not exactly a hidden gem. To see the Buddha, you need to cross the bridge to the opposite side and take a boat that costs around 2000 baht. Finding the regular boat a waste of time and the Buddha boat too expensive, we decided to take a taxi to the alley with the Buddha (location ①). We strolled to the riverside and took a boat, which was a very chill and worthwhile experience! In the afternoon, the sunlight made the Buddha glow, creating a surreal and breathtaking sight. 📸 Here are our recommended photo spots: ✅ The Buddha in the alley (can be directly located by taxi) 📍862-896 Soi Thoet Thai 26, near Sam Sing Kung Shrine, with a small supermarket nearby for snacks and drinks. ✅ The Buddha at Wat Paknam by the water 📍796 Soi Thoet Thai 26, where you'll meet many fellow travelers. ✅ Take a small boat to see the Buddha 📍Bangkok Yai. When taking photos by the water, an old Thai man might approach you offering a boat ride. You might think he's a scammer, but don't hesitate to take the ride; it's genuinely great! 🗺️ Note: The map is on the last image. 🚢 About the route: The boat circles the water twice, taking about 28-30 minutes, passing by the Buddha, a reclining Buddha, and another shorter Buddha. There are also large lizards in the water, which is really cool! Starting with temple tours, Thai food, and cabarets, I was able to visit many of the Bangkok spots 🛺 11:00 sanam chai Traveled from the hotel by metro 🚃 Thailand has a good train system, and I was grateful that there was a line that I could use with my Visa touch card! 11:15 Ferry from a tuk-tuk 🚣♀️ To be honest, I was tricked. Lol, but I was very satisfied! The tuk-tuk driver said I could go around the city, so I paid a small amount and got in, and we arrived at the pier. I couldn't refuse, so I got in, and enjoyed the Thai cityscape comfortably. 12:15 Wat Phra Kaew Lots of small decorations. I've never seen such decorations in Japan, so I was impressed. Be careful, there is an area where women can only enter if they wear a skirt ⚠️ I didn't prepare in advance and couldn't enter,, 13:30 Lunch Eat pad thai at a restaurant near Wat Phra Kaew. The inside of the restaurant was very cool and it was a good break 🌿 14:30 Wat Pho A temple where you can see a huge reclining Buddha. The size is impressive. The decorations inside and outside were so beautiful that I was mesmerized. 16:00 Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen Move by Grab. Here you can see a huge seated statue. You can see it from a distance from the boat, but it's even more impressive when you see it up close. The rooftop of the building is a vivid room that shines with emeralds. It's just as you can see in the photo, and I was moved by the view that is not fake at all. 18:00 Somboon Seafood Ban Tatton Main Branch Move by Grab. A restaurant famous for Poo Pad Pong Curry. It was my first time eating it, and it was really delicious! It might have been the best meal of the trip. 19:30 Calypso Cabaret👯♂️ The last show was a cabaret. I don't know the gender. Everyone was really beautiful! However, the show's content was not particularly interesting, so I wish they would focus on enjoying the atmosphere. lol After the cabaret, we went shopping at Asiatique Sky, which is located on the same premises🛍️ and returned to the hotel to finish the day!
