Dry relics
Phra That Chae Haeng is a sacred place of worship that has been with Nan for a long time. It is over 600 years old. According to the chronicles of Nan, Phraya Kankarn, the Lord of Nan, ordered its construction to enshrine the relics of the Buddha that he obtained from Sukhothai (the left wrist bone) in 1896 B.E. and enshrined at Doi Phu Phiang Chae Haeng.
For those born in the year of the Rabbit, you must come to this temple. In addition, inside Wat Phra That Chae Haeng, there are many other interesting things, such as the Royal Vihara, which enshrines Phra Chao Lan Thong, a Buddha image in the Mara Srivijaya posture in the Lanna art style; the Reclining Buddha Vihara, which has a white pagoda in Burmese art, a replica pagoda for people to pay homage to; and the two Naga stairs in front of the entrance to the Phra Borommathat. Importantly, it is a corner where you can see a wide view of Nan city.
Address: Wat Phra That Chae Haeng, Village No. 3, Ban Nong Tao, Tambon Muang Tit, Amphoe Phu Phiang, Nan Province
