🏡 Wat Sai Mai was established in 1898 by Mom Rajawongse Ying Noi and Mom Luang Num, who donated land for the construction of the temple. Later, in 1971, the temple purchased additional land to expand its boundaries.
Key attractions within the temple include:
🏠 The Ubosot (main hall), built in 1965, houses the replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, the principal Buddha image, and the replica of Phra Buddha Sothorn. It also features a statue of Phra Athikan Yat Uttamo, the first abbot of the temple.
🏘 Other sacred items located in the temple's viharn (chapel) and pavilions include Somdej Ong Pathom, Phra Sangkachai, Phra Nak Prok, the Buddha's footprint, and Guan Yin (the Goddess of Mercy).
🙏 Four statues of Thao Wessuwan are situated beside the Ubosot. Thao Wessuwan is the chief of giants and is revered as the deity of wealth, power, prosperity, health, and fortune.
