🏡Wat Sri Kom Kham or Wat Phra Chao Ton Luang, a third-class royal temple, an ancient temple of Phayao, built from 2034-2067.
Important and interesting things in the temple include:
🏠 The Vihara During the time when Phayao was evacuated from the war, the city was abandoned until the city was restored in the Rattanakosin era when Lanna was reclaimed from Burma.
🏘 In 2466, under the leadership of Khru Ba Srivichai, the temple was renovated again, building a new Vihara because the old one was dilapidated, building a pavilion, a chapel, a replica of the Buddha's footprint. Inside is the principal Buddha image, Phra Chao Ton Luang.
🙏 Phra Chao Ton Luang was built in 2034 during the reign of Phraya Yot Chiang Rai. It is a stucco Buddha image covered with gold leaf in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, Chiang Saen art style, and is the largest in Lanna.
🏚 Phra Chao Tan Jai is enshrined in a small Vihara.
