The urn is large and was built in a Mon-Thai style. ▪️ “Sala Din” or Vihara Thong is an ancient building from the Ayutthaya period, over 300 years old. It is a Thai-style building with a gable roof and a Brahma roof. There are garlands all around and it is covered with Kabu tiles. 🏡 Wat Sing: A historic temple in Sam Khok, believed to have been built during the reign of King Borommatrailokkanat or King Narai the Great, around 1659-1667 AD, when the Mon people migrated to settle in the area. Key highlights within the temple include: 🏠 The Ubosot: Constructed in 1757 AD, featuring a rectangular hall with a front porch. Inside, the principal Buddha image, Phra Phuttha Rattanamuni, in the Maravijaya posture, is enshrined along with three U-Thong-style Buddha images. ⛺ The Open Pavilion (Viharn Thong): A rectangular open-air structure housing Luang Pho To, a stucco Buddha image covered in gold leaf in the Maravijaya posture, set within a decorative arch. Built during the Ayutthaya period, the back of the arch features Luang Pho Phet, a reclining Buddha image made of stucco and gilded with gold leaf. 🏚 The Small Viharn: A small brick structure in traditional Thai style with a terracotta tile roof. The front features a porch with a curved base resembling a ship's hull. It is semi-enclosed with small light openings on the sides.
