It was built outside the northern wall of Nan, which used to be Suan Tan Luang. When this temple was built, its name was named after Suan Tan Luang. In addition, Wat Suan Tan is home to “Phra Chao Thong Thip”, the god of gold, a large bronze Buddha statue. “Phra Chao Thong Thip” is enshrined as the principal Buddha image in the large chapel.
