[2025 Yangshuo Attraction] Travel Guide for Wulongquan Resort Village (Updated Jun)

Wulong Spring has become a popular hidden spot for sunset viewing in recent years. Since it doesn't have an exact location and is just by the roadside, it's actually quite difficult to check in. It's not far from Xianggong Mountain, only about a ten-minute drive away, so if you hurry, you might be able to catch the sunset at both places. I have to say, the location of Wulong Spring is simply amazing. There's no obstruction in sight, what you see is what you get! It gives off an inexplicable sense of relaxation, truly magical and stunning ❤️. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good, so I didn't get to see the sunset. Since the spot is right by the roadside, you can move to a higher position nearby or walk a bit further down. It's recommended to arrive before six o'clock to grab a good spot, so you don't miss out when you get there! 🎯 Yangshuo One-Day Itinerary Suggestion You can join a one-day tour or drive yourself. The county is not big, and you can cover the main attractions in a day. |I seemed to have entered a landscape painting. On the last day of my trip to Yangshuo, I chose Huashan Yunshe, a hotel that I have treasured in my favorites for many years. The room is the elegant Sun Viewing Pavilion. [Cute] Let me talk about the advantages first: 1. The scenery is really beautiful. The infinity pool is super photogenic, and the rolling karst peaks of Guilin are in full view. 2. You can watch the sunrise from the balcony of every room in Guanrixuan, so you don’t have to get up at 4 or 5 in the morning to squeeze in with the crowds at Xianggongshan. 3. The butler service is very good. They will contact you one day in advance and provide free pick-up and drop-off at Xingping Wharf, Xianggong Mountain and Wulong Spring. The Xianggong Mountain ticket can be bought cheaply at the hotel, which is 45 per person. [Sigh] Disadvantages: 1. It is not very convenient to get to the hotel. You have to take a boat from Xingping Wharf, and then the hotel will pick you up the mountain. It will be colder in the morning and evening on the mountain, and you can only eat in the hotel. There are no other restaurants around. 2. My room was just one floor below the infinity pool, so it was quite noisy when people were taking pictures by the infinity pool, but fortunately it was only noisy when I just checked in in the afternoon. [Airplane] Itinerary: [Joyful] At 12:00, take the ferry (5/person) from Xingping Wharf to Dahebei Wharf on the other side. The hotel driver will pick you up at the wharf and drive to the hotel in 18 minutes. You can check in when you arrive. [Joyful] Afternoon tea buffet at 3pm, with lots of desserts, my mother loves it. [Joyful] You can make a round fan at 4pm. This round fan is very simple, so it’s better not to make it... [Joyful] Evening is the best time to take photos in the hotel. There are not many people in the hotel, only guests staying there, so you can take as many photos as you want. You can make an appointment in advance at the hotel for photo taking at 688/hour and vlog aerial photography at 888/hour, but I didn’t do it due to time constraints. [Joyful] At 5:30, the driver took us to Wulongquan to watch the sunset. This place can only be reached by car. On the side of the road, the thousands of acres of fertile fields are really beautiful, but the sunset also depends on luck. The weather was not very good that day and the sun was blocked by clouds. [Joyful] We can have dinner when we return to the hotel. The hotel provides a free hot pot dinner with chicken and beef. The portions are large and we even have a lot left. It was already past 8 o'clock when we finished eating. [Joyful] After dinner, I went back to the room to rest. I had to get up early the next day to watch the sunrise, so I had to go to bed early the night before. If I had the energy, the hotel would have an entertainment room with all kinds of games, such as board games, mahjong, and open-air movies. [Joyful] Get up early the next morning and watch the sunrise from the balcony, or take photos at the infinity pool on the roof. [Joyful] Have breakfast at 8 o'clock, buffet, with a wide variety of dishes, including Chinese and Western food. [Joyful] At 9 o'clock, the driver took us to Xianggong Mountain. The hotel is very close to Xianggong Mountain. It only takes 3 minutes to drive there and 20 minutes to climb the mountain. If you avoid the sunrise time, there are not many people on the top of the mountain, so you can take pictures freely. When we go down the mountain, the driver will pick us up. Count 1 hour round trip. [Joyful] Go back to the hotel to take some more photos and check out at 12 o'clock. The driver will take you down the mountain to Dahebei Pier. Please remember to make an appointment with the housekeeper one day in advance for the above activities, especially for photo shooting, it is best to make an appointment a few days in advance. Although I live in the mountains, it is still very fulfilling. Huashan Yunshe is really worth coming. Huashan when it is sunny and Yunshe when it is rainy. It will be different in any weather...
