Daxiong Hall, Seven Buddha statues and architectural paintings are collectively known as the "Three Wonders of Fengguo Temple". It is a royal temple that integrates archaeology, painting, sculpture and other cultural values. The construction method represents the highest level of Chinese architecture in the 11th century. It also provided a mature construction method for the future construction of the Forbidden City in Beijing. In the ninth year of Kaitai in Liao Dynasty (1020), Yelu Longxu, the Holy Emperor of Liao Dynasty, built Xianxi Temple in his hometown for his mother Xiao Chuo.
