Chiang Mai Youngcome: A Tranquil Oasis in the City
Staying at the Youngcome Hotel in Chiang Mai was a truly unique experience. Located in the heart of Chiang Mai at 90/3 Sridonchai Rd, it's just a few minutes' walk from the night market—super convenient! The airport is also only about a 20-minute drive away.
The hotel's location is unbeatable, surrounded by lush greenery 🌳, making you feel like you're in a tropical garden. The entire hotel embraces the Lanna style of northern Thailand, with classic decor that exudes a vintage charm 🕌. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a pool area, and a well-equipped fitness center. The front desk staff were very welcoming upon check-in, and the entire process was smooth and quick, which we really appreciated.
Our twin room was spacious and clean, about 400 sq ft, with plenty of room in both the bedroom and bathroom. Complimentary water and fruit 🍌🥭 were provided daily. A word of warning though: there are some mosquitos in the rooms. The hotel provides electric fly swatters, which became our daily entertainment 😂. The beds are a bit firm, and after a few nights, we found them a little uncomfortable, but overall, it wasn't a major issue.
There are plenty of great places to explore near the hotel, including the night market, various restaurants, and massage parlors, all within walking distance. The night market is a must-see, offering delicious food, unique souvenirs, and incredibly affordable massages. After a day of sightseeing, a foot massage is pure bliss 😌.
Of course, the Youngcome Hotel has a few drawbacks. Some rooms have damp and stuffy sheets and blankets, especially during the rainy season. If this is a concern for you, be sure to mention it at check in, and the staff will do their best to ensure your room is clean and comfortable. While the breakfast buffet offers a wide variety, there are occasionally flies buzzing around, an area where the hotel could improve.
Overall, the Youngcome Hotel is a peaceful retreat in the bustling city. Despite a few minor areas for improvement, its prime location and beautiful surroundings make it hard to leave. If you're visiting Chiang Mai, you definitely need to experience this place! ✨
