Zijiang River is the largest river in Ziyuan County. It originates from the northeastern foot of Maoer Mountain, the highest peak in South China. It flows northward and flows into Hunan Province. It then flows into Dongting Lake. Zijiang River belongs to the Yangtze River system. The Zijiang River rafting section starts from 5 kilometers downstream of the county seat to Hujiatian in Meixi Township. The entire Zijiang River is 22.5 kilometers long, with 45 beaches and 31 bends. It has its own unique majesty and steepness, as well as the purity and beauty of the Lijiang River in Guilin. The poet He Jingzhi praised "Zijiang River rafting, the best in South China".
