Rare images at Phra Borommathat Suea in Chumphon
#Where to travel this summer #Waiting for the day to travel #Southern team #Chumphon #Phra Borommathat Suea #Sunrise viewing point #Rare images
"Phra Borommathat Suea at Wat Phra Borommathat Suea", Amphoe Suea, Chumphon Province
This chedi is one of the 4 most important and sacred chedis in the South.
🌞 Our group came to wrap the chedi with cloth since 5 am. The abbot opened the temple door for us. We were greeted by the first light + the golden chedi, very beautiful. The orange sky welcomed the morning light. I must say that no one gets this picture because the temple doors usually open around 8 am. I must say that this is a rare image.
Stop by and take a walk at Suai Train Station.
Amphoe Sawi is an ancient city since the ancient times of Chumphon Province. According to history, this district was originally called "Muang Chawi" and then distorted to "Sawi".
Main tourist attractions 1. Wat Phra That Sawi 2. Doi Tapang 3. Hat Sai Ri Sawi 4. Koh Kula 5. Ao Kram and Ao Thong Tom Yai
Traveling by train to Sawi, it is popular to travel by K.43, which leaves Bangkok at 8:00 AM and arrives at Sawi Station at 5:00 PM. The fare is only about 600 baht. #VisitChumphon #VisitTheTrainStation
Today at my house, there is a coconut shell competition.
Southern way of life, using monkeys to climb coconuts is normal. When free from work, the owner will bring the monkeys to compete in climbing coconuts.
Today, it is held at the temple grounds. Two areca palms are planted at the same size. Pull the pulley to lift the coconuts to the top of the pole. Then blow the whistle to signal the monkeys to go up and collect them. Whichever side can finish all the coconuts first wins.
There are coconuts with 3, 4, 5 pieces, depending on the competition. There are many types of monkeys, small, medium, large. Don't even mention their speed. It's hard to keep up.
The cheering section is also fun. The villagers can sell their products. The locals have income. Money is donated to the temple and schools. It depends on where the competition is held. It is not animal cruelty like the Westerners who banned Thai coconut milk. It is "the villagers' way of life, a community game."

Chilling in the evening at Sai Ri Sawi Beach, Chumphon Province
Hat Sai Ri Sawi, Chumphon Province, a popular beach where tourists like to relax in a relaxed atmosphere.
This is a long beach with shallow water and gentle waves, making it ideal for swimming. Tourists usually come here in the evening when the sun is setting and the atmosphere is very chill. You can sit by the sea and enjoy the sky.
There are also shops and restaurants nearby for your convenience.

Sairee Beach
Hat Sai Ri Another interesting place to visit in Chumphon Province is Hat Sai Ri, which has clean white sand. There are both accommodations and restaurants along the beach. Along the beach is a memorial to Admiral Prince of Chumphon Khet Udomsak, the founder of Thailand's modern navy. Hat Sai Ri used to be the residence of Prince of Chumphon Khet Udomsak, who passed away on May 19, 1923. However, the palace is no longer there. #MissingNature

Sai Ri Sawi Beach: Simple charm that you must experience at least once
When talking about the Chumphon sea, many people may think of Koh Ngam or Tung Wua Laen Beach. But if you want to escape the hustle and bustle and chill on a quiet beach with a great view and not many people, "Sai Ri Sawi Beach" is the right answer without thinking long.

"Ao Lok Kam, Sawi District, Chumphon"
It must be called a secret beach of Chumphon, a crescent-shaped beach that is hard to find.
But when you get there, it's really beautiful. The beach is not big, the sea water is beautiful, the sand is white.
No facilities. On weekdays, there are no people, but the sea water here is suitable for swimming. Anyone who wants to relax, sit and chill in private should not miss it.
How to get there From Sawi District to the beach, the asphalt road alternates with concrete. Come the same way as Ao Kram. Or you can pin Lok Kam Beach on Google Maps.

🪸 The only one in Siam... seahorses live together with the community 🪸
– Ban Tong Tom Yai, Sawi, Chumphon🌴🚣
Who would have thought that... in the simple southern sea of Chumphon, there would be something magical hidden?
Yes — seahorses! And what's even more amazing is... they live together in harmony with the community.
Here, "Ban Tong Tom Yai" is a home for people and a home for seahorses... that live together in a way that relies on each other and does not harm each other.
The cool thing that must be told:
Rare species of seahorses live along the coast of Ban Tong Tom Yai.
The villagers help conserve them using natural methods, not in glass tanks, but in the real sea.
The children here know seahorses like they are their neighbors, not just rare sea creatures.
There is a "local learning center" that tells stories of seahorses and the community's way of life in a cute and impressive way.
🏡 In addition to seahorses... this place is also very cute:
A wooden house by the canal, a sunset view that is unbelievably beautiful
Fresh seafood, shrimp, shellfish, crabs, fish from the hands of the villagers
And full-fledged slow-life activities, whether it's boating, kayaking, or just sitting still, you'll still feel good.
> "Baan Tong Tom Yai doesn't just have beautiful seas, but also has life, seahorses, and the heart of the community, making this place 'the only one in Siam' with pride."
#Chumphon is worth visiting
Ocean Gate
"Ocean Gate" Unseen Chumphon
It is a beautiful and famous tourist attraction in Sawi District, Chumphon Province. It is a large natural stone archway formed by erosion of waves and wind, creating a unique and beautiful stone doorway. It is also a beautiful viewpoint where you can see a panoramic view of the sea.

One of the most unusual temples in Thailand
#cityplaybook #chumpon #thailand #thailandtrip
Samingdam Tiger Cave in Chumpon is hands down one of the most unusual temples I’ve ever visited. The place is full of quirky charm—think frog statues, grinning tigers, and other playful figures that give it a whimsical vibe. The modern lighting adds to the surreal atmosphere, with colorful LED lights illuminating the cave and statues in a way that feels almost otherworldly.
My friend and I were the only ones there, which made the experience even more unique. As we wandered around, we noticed something fascinating: many of the statues and shrines were weighed down with cups, plates, and even coins. It’s clearly a local tradition, but it adds this layer of mystery to the place—like every object has its own story.
If you’re looking for a temple that breaks the mold, this is it. No crowds, no formalities—just a wonderfully weird mix of spirituality and fun. Perfect for anyone who loves offbeat discoveries. Definitely one of those places that sticks in your memory long after you leave.
📍Address: Samingdam Tiger Cave at Unnamed Road Khao Khai, Sawi District, Chumphon 86130, Thailand

Discover Tranquility at Wat Phra Borommathat Sawi
#springitinerary Tucked away in the serene Sawi District of Chumphon, Wat Phra Borommathat Sawi is a peaceful escape that blends history, culture, and calm in one beautiful location. This centuries-old temple is known for its striking white chedi, believed to house a relic of the Buddha, making it a sacred site for Thai Buddhists.
The surrounding grounds are quiet and shaded, perfect for a reflective walk or just soaking in the peaceful vibe. It’s not overly touristy, which adds to the charm, think of it as a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Locals often come here to pay respects and meditate, so it’s also a great spot to witness authentic Thai spiritual life.
If you’re passing through Chumphon, Wat Phra Borommathat Sawi is definitely worth a stop. Bring your camera, and maybe a sense of wonder too.
Dan Dome Homestay, a way of life by the sea in Chumphon
#Travel to save the world This trip happened because there were few holidays.
We traveled as a family, a total of 8. Where can we find information that will accommodate our family during this holiday? And there are activities for us to do together, both children and elderly can do this activity, that is Dan Dome Homestay.
In addition to the clean accommodation, the sea view is quiet. There is also a submarine channel. Play in the water in front of the accommodation. Paddle activities are not finished. In the evening, let's go. Take a boat to dive for squid. Fresh squid, full of eggs. We were very lucky to find it. When the sea lights up, it's very exciting.
You have to try it. The price is 13++ per person. Including a full seafood dinner and breakfast.

Wat Phra Borommathat Suwi, a temple that is a symbol of Chumphon people
#Get a discount without relying on luck
For those who travel to Chumphon or travel south, stopping by to pay homage to Phra Borommathat Suwi, a temple that is a symbol of Chumphon city, is considered a very auspicious thing to do on your trip. _
We really like this place. It is a very peaceful and clean temple. The chedi is beautiful. The surrounding area is constantly being restored. Outside, there is a shrine to Phra Suea Mueang, who is responsible for taking care of the chedi since the Ayutthaya period. The temple is next to the Suwi River. You can cross the bridge to take pictures.
Outside, there are flowers, incense, and candles provided by the temple, which can be donated to the temple according to your faith. If you come in the morning, sometimes there will be locals selling vegetables, fruits, and products from the locals' gardens. They are fresh and inexpensive. #Chumphon, a must-visit city #Chumphon #Wat Phra Borommathat Suwi #Suwi

Koh Kula, Sawi District, Chumphon Province, a small island that takes only 25 minutes by boat from the shore. Koh Kula is an island with white sandy beaches, clear water, beautiful coral reefs, and is an area under the care of the Chumphon Archipelago National Park. Anyone can come for a one-day trip or camp overnight. This place is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. Most importantly, there is a turtle nursery in the park.
