Tamsui, Taiwan is a seaside port city that is easy to travel to, only 1 hour from Taipei. When we went, it was drizzling, making the weather cool and comfortable, not hot. And luckily, the rain stopped just as the sun was setting, so we still had a chance to see the sunlight. Overall, very impressive. ❤️🔅 Activities: Walk or cycle along the route from Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf to Tamsui Golden Anchor. Choose the time during sunset, the atmosphere is the best, forget about being tired. ☺️🔅 We spent about 2 hours in Tamsui. You can walk around, cycle around and have a simple dinner here. Actually, we planned to stay here for 3 hours, but it was raining on the day we went, so we cut some spots. We also got lost on the MRT. 😂 It took us quite a while to realize it and take the same route back. 📌 Transportation: The easiest way is to take the MRT red line until the end of the line and get off at Tamsui Station. 🧸 But we chose to take the MRT red line and get off at Hongshulin Station to transfer to the Danhai Light Rail, a train line where each station is decorated with the works of Jimmy Liao, a famous Taiwanese cartoon artist. Fisherman’s Wharf, formerly known as Tamsui Second Fishing Port, is located at the right bank of the river mouth of Tamsui River and is well known for its sunset. However, luck is not with me when i visited in Oct 2024, it was a hazy day and missed the sunset. Along the way, there are many charming spots to explore, including a beautiful church perfect for photos. This place is highly recommended for its easy and convenient access. Additionally, tourists can stroll through the town, which is filled with local shops, old buildings, and houses. The port is also an ideal spot to watch the stunning sunset, making it a truly romantic destination. Watching Fireworks in New Year is a must! Starting from Taipei, I chose to take bus No. 26, admiring the prosperity of the city along the way, and in the blink of an eye I arrived at this enchanting place. Fisherman's Wharf is open 24 hours a day in the port area and the restaurant is open from 11:00 to 20:00. It is always full of vitality whether it is day or night. Walking on the Lover's Bridge, the breeze blows on your face, and the afterglow of the setting sun shines on the sea, as if covering the waters with a layer of golden gauze. For Tamsui city, you can come here for a 1-day trip. I recommend coming in the afternoon until the sun sets. The atmosphere in the evening is very good. This is a fisherman's pier, a bit far from Tamsui Station. You can take an Uber or taxi to get there. The atmosphere is very chill, the wind is very cool, and the view is very good. As for the area near MRT Tamsui, there is a sunset viewpoint by the sea and an old street selling food and various things for you to walk around before returning to Thailand. #Overseas travel 🩵 When I travel, I like to walk around and see the surrounding sceneryㅎㅎ 🩵 You can ride a bike or take a taxi from Danshui Station to Hongmaoqing, but I took pictures of the road while walking around every nook and cranny:) 🩵 It was a bit difficult because it was pouring rain, but if it's a clear day, I recommend visiting the heritage buildings such as Tada Eikichi's Residence, Jinri University, and Hongmaoqing! 🩵 Please note that the Xiaobai Palace is still under construction and entry is prohibited.

Taiwan is so dear to my heart. I love their night markets, places and people. On my second trip March of 2024, I visited Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf. I took a train and bus and it was a breeze commuting to this place. Strolling while sipping a cup of coffee and enjoying the view is the best thing to do here. There are also a lot of restaurants around the area in case you get hungry from walking or sitting. There are so many things to explore around this place and I recommend you spend the whole afternoon here. The sunset was magnificent, but the evening view is more magical. #Tamsui
