Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc
Emperor Tu Duc enjoyed the longest reign of any monarch of the Nguyen dynasty, ruling from 1848-1883. Although he had 104 wives and concubines, he was unable to father a son (possibly he became sterile after contracting smallpox). Thus, it fell to him to write his own epitaph on the deeds of his reign. He felt this was a bad omen, but the epitaph can still be found inscribed on the stele in the pavilion just to the east of the Emperor's tomb. This stele is the largest of its type in Vietnam, and had to be brought here from a quarry over 500 kilometers (310 mi) away – a trip that took four years.

Chilling Vibes in Tu Duc Tomb, Hue, Vietnam
King Tu Duc Tomb in Hue, Vietnam.
This is one of the most famous tombs from Nguyen Dynasty - the last empire in Vietnam. King Tu Duc had no children, and he was the only King out of 13 Nguyen Kings that still lived after the tomb was completely constructed and used this tomb as a second palace for 16 years.
King Tu Duc is also a poet, so its architecture is breathtaking with chilling vibes.

A visit to the romantic resting place of the Vietnamese emperor, the Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc
The Tomb of Tu Duc is located about 7km southwest of Hue city, Vietnam. It takes about 15-20 minutes by car from Hue Railway Station, and it is easily accessible. To be exact, it is located near the village of Thuong Ba, and the surrounding area is surrounded by a dense pine forest, giving it a quiet feel. The Tomb of Tu Duc was designed and used by Emperor Tu Duc himself during his lifetime, and it is not just a simple tomb, but a complex space with a palace and garden where the emperor spent the rest of his life.
Walking around the Tomb of Tu Duc on a rainy day was a truly special experience. The moist pine forest, the quiet pond, and the slightly foggy landscape made it feel as if time had stopped. The Tomb of Tu Duc felt more like a small palace than a simple tomb, and the pavilions around the pond and the Xung Khiem Pavilion, where Emperor Tu Duc spent his time writing poetry, were especially charming when it rained. Watching the gentle ripples created by the raindrops falling on the pond made me feel at ease, and I felt like I was briefly catching a glimpse of the emperor's life in a space where nature and history come together.
The Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc is a place that shows a simple yet sophisticated beauty overall. The design that emphasized harmony with nature rather than flashy decorations stood out, and on rainy days, that harmony seemed to be maximized even more. However, if you visit on a rainy day, you should be careful of the slippery stone paths. It was fun to walk slowly with an umbrella and admire the delicate architecture and nature here and there.

Visit Hanoi...Don't Miss the Amazing Photo Spot, Incense Village
Hello, today I'll take you to Hanoi. This is another place that I was impressed by. That is Co Hoa Village, or its full name is Làng hương Thuy Xuân - Co Hoa, located on Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street near the Tu Duc Tomb, about 7 kilometers southwest of the center of Hue. According to the craftsmen in the village, the making of incense in Hue began 700 years ago during the Nguyen Dynasty.
At first glance, I thought this was a flower field, but it turned out to be "incense"... This is an incense village that has inherited the wisdom of making incense for over a hundred years. They use the traditional method, starting from sharpening bamboo, dipping the wood in dyeing water, drying it in the sun, and then making it into incense, tying it into bundles that look like big red flowers. The photos are incredibly beautiful.
The colorful incense village of Lang Huong Thuy Xuân is another place that is perfect for taking photos because they have arranged a photo corner surrounded by colorful incense sticks. There are many shops with many styles to choose from. Every shop has props to choose from for free. There are also staffs to take photos for you. Don't be afraid that you won't be able to pose because they take good care of you. You'll definitely get beautiful photos. Note: All photos are free, but you have to support their products.

Emperor Thu Duc's Tomb... Hue City...
#VietnamTravel #TuDucTomb #Hue #Vietnam
This is the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, one of the three emperors of Hue.
The others are the tomb of Emperor Minh Mang and the tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh..
Emperor Tu Duc was the fourth emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty and reigned for 36 years from 1847 to 1883. He was the emperor with the longest reign among the 13 emperors.
It is the closest to the city and many foreigners visit, so there are shops lined up along the road in front of the tomb.
It is not easy to get there by bus or something like that, so you have to take a motorbike or taxi, but the distance is not too far, so the fare is not too high, and it is not difficult to catch a taxi on the way back.
It is also nice to take a leisurely rest in the shade.
