2025 Yoshino District Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in March)

Senjojiki, located within Wakayama Prefecture's Yoshino-Kumano National Park, is a natural wonder featuring expansive rock formations facing the Pacific Ocean. The name 'Senjojiki' comes from the flat rock formations that resemble a thousand tatami mats laid out. These unique formations, sculpted by years of wave erosion, captivate all who visit. Especially at dusk, the harmony between the orange-tinted sky and sea offers a breathtaking view. Senjojiki is also popular among families and couples. The grandeur of nature and the serene atmosphere make Senjojiki an indispensable tourist spot within Yoshino-Kumano National Park.

I went to "Menfudou Cave" in #Tenkawamura, #Nara prefecture (((((((っ･ω･)っ We took the monorail, commonly known as "Dorokko", to the entrance of the cave, but it said there was a 50-person wait and it would take an hour, so a few people, including me, headed on the promenade. 8-(*o･ω･)o plodding (takes about 15 minutes) There is an observation deck near the entrance where you can get a panoramic view of the nature of Tenkawamura ✿ﾟ❀.(*´▽`*)❀.ﾟ✿ We bought admission tickets at the hut, but they were selling "Gorogoro Cider", so we hydrated first (〃’σ` gulp gulp.. We left the monorail group behind and went to the cave first ⊂('ω'⊂ )))Σ≡Let's go!! The Sky Village is a forest activity facility located in the 21st Century Forest Kii Peninsula Forest Botanical Gardens 🌳 It's one of my favorite places, and I recommend it for family trips and drive dates ☺️ ⁡⁡ ⁡It incorporates popular forest leisure activities in France and Europe, with net suspension bridges spanning the trees, allowing you to enjoy an aerial walk 4 to 12 meters above the ground ☁ ⁡⁡ ⁡⁡The net was imported from France, and it was made by Joran, a Frenchman who moved to Totsukawa Village, together with engineers from his home country, starting from weaving the net 😲⁡ ⁡⁡ ⁡Since it's handmade, the playground equipment is changed daily, so you'll never get bored no matter how many times you go 👌Of course, the wood used for the platforms and other things is from Totsukawa Village 🌳 ⁡ You're free to spend your time however you like. I like to bounce around, drink coffee, read books...I like to take a nap on the rocking bed 😪 Let's spend a relaxing time deep in the mountains ✌️⁡ ⁡ Also, accommodation facilities have been open since last July 🎊 There are four types of bases: tree houses, aerial tents, transparent domes, and aerial hammocks. If you don't like the feeling of floating, we recommend the tree houses or domes 🙆♀️ Each is scattered throughout the forest, so it's like a secret base. At night, the lights are on and it's glittering ✨️ The trees swaying in the wind and the babbling of the stream will help you sleep well 😴 There is also a bonfire area for each group 🔥 You can bring your own equipment, but there are plenty of amenities (charged), so you can enjoy it even if you come empty-handed. Since it is only a bed-and-breakfast, it is essential to secure food‼ ️ WiFi is available, so it might be good for a digital detox 📡 The whole way is on a national highway, so access is good! Yakushiji temple is one of the oldest temple in Nara,Japan. It is quite a big temple and there is a beautiful pagoda as well. It is very natural temple and you can not make loud noise in this temple. In addition, there are many sculptures in side of this temple. Car park is available for this temple.
