The environment here is fantastic! The lobby has books, a guzheng (Chinese zither), and calligraphy brushes, plus two adorable parrots 🦜. I'm very satisfied with this hotel; the rooms are spotless, and the front desk staff are wonderful. It's also very convenient for getting around. To go to West Lake, you just need to take the subway to Xiuxi Road Station. I really love it and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.

Front desk staff, Ms. Wang Xiao, kindly upgraded my mother's room for free. The room was spacious and bright, with a bathtub for a relaxing soak. The environment was quiet, ensuring a great night's rest. Breakfast was plentiful, and they even gave us a souvenir upon check-out. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends and family when they visit Hangzhou.

This hotel is much more than just a place to stay — it is a complete family holiday destination designed around children, imagination and creating unforgettable memories. 🌟 Exceptional Service from Shi Jun — A True Credit to the Hotel Before arriving, I honestly considered cancelling our reservation due to communication difficulties. However, one person completely changed our experience — Shi Jun from the front desk team. Shi Jun demonstrated truly exceptional hospitality. Through WeChat, he patiently communicated with us, answered every question and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. He helped us when we were close to giving up on the reservation, arranged room changes, helped find a suitable place for me to work, assisted when we needed to visit the hospital, and continued to care about every detail of our family’s needs. His professionalism, kindness and genuine concern for guests represent the very best of hospitality. Shi Jun is a young man who is a true credit to Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel. For his service alone, I would give 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. 🌟 Beautiful, Spacious and Immaculately Clean Rooms The room was one of the biggest highlights of our stay. It was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. The family design created a warm and welcoming environment, with excellent bedding, a well-maintained bathroom and plenty of space for parents and children. For families travelling with young children, cleanliness and comfort are essential — and Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel truly delivered. 🍳 Excellent and Abundant Breakfast The breakfast was another highlight. There was a fantastic selection of food suitable for both adults and children. The variety was impressive and provided a great start to each day. 👨👩👧 A Wonderful Family-Friendly Environment The greatest strength of this hotel is its understanding of families. Everything is designed with children in mind, creating a place where children can feel excited, happy and full of imagination. Our child especially enjoyed the family atmosphere, and it was wonderful to see so many families creating happy memories together. ❤️ Great Potential with Some Areas for Improvement The hotel has an excellent foundation: beautiful rooms, a fantastic concept, wonderful family facilities and a great location. With some improvements, it has the potential to become one of the best family resorts in Anji. 🌍 International Guest Communication As an international guest, communication was sometimes challenging. Unfortunately, none of the staff members we met could speak English, and some were reluctant to use translation tools. Basic English support or greater willingness to use translation applications would greatly improve the experience for overseas visitors. 🧑🍳 Breakfast Service Professionalism Although breakfast was excellent, we noticed the chef using his phone in the breakfast area during service time. For a family resort with such great potential, maintaining professionalism in all public areas is important. 🌙 Night Reception Service At approximately 5:00 am, we needed assistance because our room key required reactivation. Unfortunately, nobody was immediately available at reception. A 24-hour guest service presence would improve the overall experience. 🚗 Arrival Experience The entrance creates the first impression. We noticed the security staff member appeared distracted using his phone and smoking rather than actively welcoming guests. Overall, it was decent. My special-offer room was fine, but space was limited – no room for a suitcase, and even a backpack was a tight fit. Soundproofing was average for a hostel, neither good nor bad, and really depends on the other guests. Facilities-wise, I'd rate them as upper-average among the hostels I've stayed in. There were generally enough sinks, showers, and squat toilets. However, most of the faucets in the wash area only had cold water. I finally found one with hot water, but it was scalding, and there was no temperature control, which was a bit disappointing. The drying area was also quite small, and the shower slippers provided were messy. I've stayed in other hostels where disinfected slippers were clearly separated and neatly arranged, so this wasn't ideal. The mattress was a bit soft, okay for a night or two. On the plus side, it's very close to the subway – literally just a few steps from the station exit. Considering the location and the good ceiling height in the private room which didn't feel cramped, it's acceptable for a short stay.

Our stay at Giraffe Manor was truly magical and unforgettable! 🦒💕 The location of our room was perfect — quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. It honestly felt like we were one-on-one with the wild, rather than staying in a typical hotel. A very special thank you to our concierge, Yang, who deserves a special mention. We communicated with her throughout our entire stay through WeChat, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was always incredibly quick to respond, very polite, kind, and helpful with anything we needed. Having someone so attentive and reliable available whenever we had a question made our stay so much easier and more enjoyable. We truly appreciated all of her help and felt that she went above and beyond to make our trip extra special. ❤️ Breakfast with the giraffes was definitely one of the highlights of every morning. 🦒 Watching the giraffes and all the other animals living, exploring, and enjoying their surroundings was such a beautiful experience. It felt like we were simply guests in their world — observing them in their natural environment and becoming a small part of their space. This is definitely not a “behind-the-bars” type of zoo. The animals have so much freedom and space, which makes the experience feel incredibly special. There are also so many things to do around the hotel. We received a bunch of coupons at check-in for different activities, which was a great bonus. There are a couple of restaurants nearby as well, serving great food, so there’s plenty to enjoy during your stay. Our room was cleaned beautifully every day, and the car/cart service around the property was very convenient whenever we got tired of walking. Everything was well organized and made the whole experience comfortable and relaxing. We’re so happy we chose to stay here. It’s one of those places that feels like a little fairytale and creates memories you’ll remember forever. And a huge thank you again to Yang for making our stay even more special! ❤️

The hotel's service was excellent, and the lobby was beautiful. Check-in was on the first floor with a great view. The hotel staff was very good, and after checking in, there was complimentary tea available. The room was spacious, lovely, clean, and tidy. Parking was very convenient in the underground garage, and there was a supermarket nearby for easy shopping. West Lake is also very close, making it convenient to visit. After checking out, Alan, the concierge, kindly helped me store my luggage, which was very helpful.

The hotel was fully booked on the day of our check-in, and we arrived over an hour early. Several staff members introduced us to various activities to pass the time, including a dedicated room for movies, board games, and a swimming pool. While waiting for our room, the service and amenities at InterContinental Danyang were exceptionally warm and thoughtful. The room was a family lake-view suite, accommodating four people. The hotel's location, far from the central lake area, was incredibly tranquil, with no tourists by the lake. Away from city light pollution, we surprisingly saw the Milky Way on our first night, a rare sight in East China. The swimming pool offered different children's activities daily. The botanical garden had a vast array of flowers and butterflies, along with a koi and swan pond where we could feed the fish. The hotel's two wings also featured a lighthouse and an observation deck. The buffet dinner had everything we could ask for, and on Chinese Valentine's Day, they even gave out roses. The fish head dish at the Chinese restaurant was absolutely superb. Breakfast deserves special praise; despite the hotel being fully booked, we could order noodles via our phones, and the staff proactively asked about our coffee preferences. This is exactly the standard expected from an established InterContinental brand, and even with the summer crowd, the service and quality were uncompromised. Finally, a special shout-out to our thoughtful butler, Emily. From the moment we checked in, she was incredibly attentive. On our last day, we had an early morning departure for a yacht in the central lake area. Without hesitation, Emily helped us arrange a late check-out, even during the busy summer season. To be honest, when I heard that the InterContinental was being rebranded, I had some reservations, worrying about a potential drop in service. However, after staying here, I can confidently say that this is by far the best hotel in China, in terms of both quality and service, that we've stayed at with our child during the summer season. Both its hard and soft assets are top-notch, and its service easily rivals that of established luxury hotel brands. I rarely choose to stay at the same hotel twice in the same location, but InterContinental Danyang has made me eagerly anticipate my next visit.

I extended my stay because it was so good. The exquisite afternoon tea, as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are all highly recommended. The room was clean, hygienic, and free of any odors. Upon checkout, they even gave us a souvenir gift to eat in the car, which was very convenient. I especially love the Yiwu Jindou Hotel and will definitely come back again.

My first stay at Mercure Hangzhou Fengqi Road was very pleasant overall! First, the location is excellent, right near Fengqi Road, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, and it's easy to hail a taxi. It's only about 2km from West Lake Scenic Area, which is great for anyone visiting Hangzhou for business or leisure. The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean, with soft and comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was also excellent, allowing for a very quiet and restful night's sleep. The toiletries were of good quality too; though not a big brand, they left a subtle citrus scent, and my hair and skin felt smooth afterward. The bathroom featured a smart toilet, and the shower had excellent non-slip measures and grab bars, with plenty of hot water – very senior-friendly! What impressed me most was the service. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were warm, attentive, and polite, with quick response times, making me feel right at home. When I checked in, I emphasized that I needed a non-smoking room, but upon opening the door, I found a strong lingering smoke smell from the previous guest. I reported this to the front desk, and they immediately moved me to another room on a higher floor. The security guard on the first floor was very responsible, carefully verifying visitors' identities. The housekeeping ladies always greeted me with a smile. The breakfast restaurant, though not large, offered a rich variety of fresh ingredients, catering to different tastes and needs from both north and south. Areas for improvement: 1) I wanted to go to the gym but found the door locked. 2) The hotel lacks a service elevator, so guests and staff share just two elevators. Sometimes, due to goods being transported, the wait for an elevator can be quite long. 3) The rooms do not provide an iron and ironing board. If you need to iron clothes, you have to go to the laundry room on the first floor, and there's only one in the entire hotel. This is very inconvenient and not user-friendly. 4) In the 11th-floor room I initially stayed in, the lettering on the bedside phone was faded. When I wanted to report the smoke smell to the front desk, I didn't know which button to press. I had to use my mobile phone to call the hotel. I suggest the hotel replace the phones and clearly label the buttons, or provide a small card on the bedside table with the service hotline information. 5) The bedside lamp and overhead light in the room couldn't be controlled separately, and there was no night light. Turning on the light in the middle of the night would disturb anyone else in the room, but without it, you'd be fumbling in the dark and risk falling.

Wucheng Four Seasons Yijing Hotel (Yongsheng Shopping Plaza Branch) 9.1 The hotel package price was very affordable, so I saw a lot of senior tour groups. It's located near a residential area, and attractions like Guzicheng require a drive. There are many restaurants nearby. Pets stay free. However, Yongsheng Shopping Plaza is still about a 30-minute walk away. Location: Generally, it's near a residential area and a bit far from attractions (-0.7). Navigation was clear, and there's a convenient parking lot within the hotel grounds. Hygiene: The bedding was clean, and the floors were tidy. They also offer to clean the room after you've woken up, which is quite thoughtful. Service: The hotel front desk staff were very diligent. During check-in, they followed a standardized script and sent a detailed page of information via WeChat, including breakfast and Wi-Fi details. Their response time during my stay was also very fast. It would be even better if they could check reservation notes during check-in to provide the appropriate room type. However, the most annoying part of the service was receiving daily WeChat messages pressuring guests for 5-star reviews (-0.5). Facilities: They have smart home features and well-equipped energy-saving devices, as well as accessible facilities. However, the smart toilet only had an automatic flush function (-0.2). Also, there were no screens on the windows, so opening them for ventilation could let in mosquitoes and other insects (-0.3). Comfort: It has a budget hotel design. The room was a bit compact but generally clean. The soundproofing was a bit lacking (-0.2). Dining: Breakfast is provided, including a noodle station. They also offer a great late-night snack service. Bonus points: Late check-out available (+0.5). No room upgrade. Laundry room available (+0.5). Late-night snack service available (+0.5). Minus points: People occasionally smoked in the ground floor lobby and were not stopped (-0.5).
