A relatively new hotel, ca. 20 min by walking from the famous city center bar streets.
The service at the reception is good (it seems that the tourist industry is fully in Polish hands, this feels a little awkward).
Why is the room with toilet for disabled individuals if not requested?
The recommended bath Laugardalslaug near the hotel needs urgently refurbishing.
The Flybus transport from hotel to KEF was well organized and not expensive.

The hotel features modern facilities and an excellent location. There's a fantastic bubble tea shop right across the street, and a highly-rated Chinese restaurant, considered the best in the local area, is just a short walk away. The cleanliness is also superb.

The room's location was incredibly convenient, right next to the cathedral. Reykjavik's city center is quite compact, meaning most shops are concentrated in this area. It's also just over a 10-minute walk to the BSI bus terminal. Check-in and check-out at the hotel were very smooth and hassle-free.

Clean and hygienic, quiet environment, great location right near the cathedral, and you can even see the cathedral from the room. The sink in the room is very convenient. The front desk is open from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM. If you're checking in late, you can contact them in advance, and they'll give you a code for self-check-in. Checking out for an early flight is also very easy; you just leave the key in the designated spot. Five-star review!
Room and toilet were clean, however there was a Sulphurous odour (almost like rotten eggs) coming from the drain of the shower which was quite difficult to bare if you used the bathroom for too long. Fortunately for us, we were out most of the day, so we didn’t have to deal with it so much. They’re a sustainable and eco friendly hotel and don’t offer one-use toiletries, however extra towels and other things were offered when requested.
The breakfast spread was lovely and yummy!!
Appreciated the well thought out guide folder!
The studio it self has a great potential but it needs a deep cleaning. The studio still had the garbage from the previous guests inside and was full of dust. Also the outside is not very welcoming (it's OK to be in the back of the house but it is not OK to have construction leftovers just outside the door/window). Apart from that the bed was comfy, you have a mini fridge and good wifi connection. You can walk from here to the city center. Parking space just outside the building for free.
It was good to stay for our last day as it's quite close to the bus station to airport.
As there's fully equipped kitchen, we could be able to cook our own food which made us feel even better. Lastly, Bonus is right beside so it was cooool!
Just one thing is that I had hard time looking for the entrance but unless that, it was good stay.

The room and bed are both tiny, almost like a narrow daybed as some have pointed out. On the plus side, the bed itself was quite comfortable. Cleanliness was mediocre; I even found hairs on the bed. The bathroom sink is poorly designed; you can barely wash your hands, let alone your face, as your head gets stuck against the glass shelf above it. Considering the prices in Iceland, it's relatively cheap, and it's okay for just one night if you're on a budget. There's a bus stop conveniently located right outside, and the airport shuttle drops you off directly at the entrance.

GGuest Userdark and full of thieves. MAYBE DONT KEEP ANYTHING IN THE REFRIGERATOR. not sure how my things got stolen as they were packed in the back and not visible. was it the cleaning staff checking every item and label? did they decide to take it? was it a traveler, and because there's no CCTV they thought it'd be okay? i thought in iceland people would keep the cultural system of no crime. so this is a warning and also this experience (at the end of my stay) doesnt affect my overall opinion of the hostel (which i formed before having things stolen). the atmosphere is overly dreary and depressing. the most colorful thing is the mandatory rainbow flag that almost every business in the area seems to have on display (is it part of an extortion racket?). low light everywhere, even in the sleeping room when you need to be able to see and find things. the room had only one small window and only a tiny opening for fresh air outside. no air circulation or ability to adjust the room temperature. the room was cramped and the beds squeaked and creaked at the smallest movement. sheets were clean and no bugs were seen. so that is a plus! the interior and decor in the hostel is odd. it felt like a waiting room in the afterlife for people who led lives of honest vice and subversive transgression, or maybe it's best described as a purgatory for designers with perpetual Seasonal Affective Disorder. this probably suits most people interested in the general icelandic vibe, so it is appropriate. no ability to make a deposit for a lock for the lockers in the room. you must purchase an overpriced lock. finally there are no smiles on any workers who speak in monotone and seem bothered whenever you ask a question, as if they had been interrupted, as if it werent their job to assist customers, and as if i were dumb for asking a question.
WWongAaronI recently had the pleasure of staying at Guesthouse Aurora, where the charm of the establishment was only matched by the warmth of its hosts. Nestled in a convenient location next to the Church, the guesthouse presented itself as an inviting home away from home, perfect for travelers looking for an authentic and personal touch to their accommodation.
Before arrival, we were worried that we cannot checkin because we took a night flight. However, when i called the staff, he answered that even our arrival time is out of customer service, he could leave the key and PIN code for us to self-checkin, he also went beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. Their attention to detail and eagerness to assist with any inquiries set the tone for a delightful stay.
The guesthouse itself boasted a quaint and cozy atmosphere, with communal areas that were well-kept and adorned with tasteful decorations, offering a homely comfort that was immediately noticeable. The included breakfast was a highlight of the stay, featuring a generous spread of both local and continental options, freshly prepared and sure to satisfy a variety of tastes. The morning meal provided a wonderful opportunity to mingle with other guests and exchange travel tales, all while enjoying the delightful array of food.
However, it's worth noting that the room space was somewhat compact. While the room was impeccably clean and well-equipped with the necessary amenities, the limited space could pose a slight inconvenience, especially for those with a significant amount of luggage or a
VVanessaSuper quickly the confirmation email from the hotel, the directions and recommendations are clear and simple. The room was a decent side and it had a huge bathroom. Right now there are making some renovations in the property but during the sleeping hours everything is pretty calm and silent

AayanamisloverThe location of the hotel is a bit out of the way, but it was only used as a stopover so it didn't matter too much, and for travelling around Reykjavik we recommend booking another Hilton Curio Select hotel. Facilities in the room were fair and worthy of the Hilton name.
WWyw112The bus hostel is really near the airport and quite walkable to major sightseeing like 20-30 minutes.
Yet the Windows curtain could not even cover it well so if you sleep near a Windows in summer (as the night will be very bright) You will affect by the light. There was men snoring really hard so it affect as well (though this is not about the hotel)
I got nose allergy and the entire time I stay in the hotel and it makes me feel very sick.
The self check in system is quite good, yet the reception will be locked after 9pm(?) I was coming back at 10pm and there was no staff help unlocking the main entrance which the password is different. They provide no information about this. A few of us (new guests or those coming back) are locked outside until a guest know the password show up. This certainly not a good service at all.
The toilet has automatic light which is Environmental friendly I like it, but it went off when I only have a short time in the toilet, this really not quite good.
But the location is good and there is bus travel tour pick up from here.
GGuest UserThis aparthotel is very clean.
The location of the facility is very good.
The staff are all kind and speak English well.
There is a beautiful lake around the hotel, and there are many supermarkets and restaurants, so it is very convenient.
I recommend it to everyone!
TTamarafriendly staff, the sauna and hot tub were clean and nice。。。。our room was perfect, but if you are picky with drinking water, bring your own to the room。the water from the tab is drinkable, but has a lot of sulfur in it and smells this way。
the breakfast was very good, different coffee, waffles, bread, porridge, fruits,。。。。
GGuest UserLovely clean and spacious room. Nice little kitchen area with microwave to heat food.
Buffet breakfast was OK. Personally not to my taste, but that is only my opinion. The 16 year old with us loved the waffles with the choice of toppings!
The porridge which I do enjoy was good day 1 but very watery day 2. Choice of bread that could be toasted, margarine (Sorry I am a butter fan!), preserves, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, tomatoes etc.
Free coffee wasn't great - again I'm a coffee snob and like a good cup of filter coffee. I did notice there was coffee to buy.
The room was great and the staff very helpful. We were able to park right outside our room.
Good location for Reykjavik by car, Thingvellir National Park etc. We travelled from here to both and also to Snaefellsnes Peninsula, which was worth the drive. Also we visited Rekyholt, Barnafoss and Hraunfossar waterfalls, Deildartunguhver Thermal Spring - try the tomato soup!
