The location of the hotel is very good that it only takes 2-3 mins walk from beppu station. And around the hotel are different restaurants and shops in which you can buy souvenirs. Most importantly, there are 2 convenient stores nearby, 1 lawson and 1 family mart. The room with a modern style is well decorated, spacious and clean. The view from the room is also stunning. The picture was taken from my room. You can also enjoy this view when you are bathing as there is a big window in the bathing room. The onsen and the swimming pool are also good. The water in the swimming pool is warm even it’s in winter. So no matter which season you are in, you can still swim in the pool at the rooftop and at the same time enjoy the panoramic view of beppu. The only one thing I don’t like is that the cable machine in the gym room is so noisy and the motion is not smooth. It only has 1-10 kg dumbbells so if you want to get your chest pumped, you will have to find another way😭 btw, the breakfast is just normal. You can skip it and use that 3000 sth dollars to get sth delicious. if I travel to beppu again, this hotel will be my first priority fr.

Strategic location, the hotel is about 700-800m from the train station. In Japan it’s known to have a small bed for hotel, but it’s a pleasant surprise to note the bed is bigger than the “norm”. Very comfortable. In the winter/cold temperature, the centralise airconds were all “set” to heater. When we made a “complain” on the stuff/warm room, they are kind to offer a stand fan to put in our room. A big thumb ups for the buffet, a good spread, clean and delicious.

The hotel's location is fantastic, making it very convenient for both transportation and shopping. The express bus terminal is also nearby. To reach the front desk, simply exit Oita ZR Station North Exit, turn right, go through a small door, and take the elevator up to the 8th floor. Check-in is available from 2 PM. Our room was quite spacious, located at the end of the hallway and featuring large windows on two walls. Unfortunately, they were sealed shut, preventing ventilation, but the air conditioning worked perfectly. The entire hotel was very clean. Despite our three-day stay, the staff promptly replaced our yukata and towels, provided bottled water, and offered warm, attentive service throughout. Breakfast was both plentiful and exquisitely presented, featuring beautiful seasonal Japanese bento boxes. Vending machines and ice makers are conveniently located on floors such as 11 and 14. Across from the front desk, complimentary toiletries and skincare products are available for guests to take as needed. The onsen was spotless and well-maintained, with excellent service. We absolutely loved the convenience of being able to dine directly after our bath. Soaking in the top-floor bath while enjoying the panoramic city views was incredibly relaxing.

This is a popular, mid-range hot spring hotel in Beppu. I stayed here for two nights in late January this year and felt it offered incredible value for money. Having been open for less than five years, the hotel facilities are very new. This was my first time staying at a hotel where you have to take off your shoes and store them in a locker upon entering, which instantly creates a relaxing atmosphere for guests. Disposable socks are also provided in the room. Even luggage entering the hotel passes over a washable damp mat, ensuring the floors remain spotless. The hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from Beppu Station, just a 3-5 minute walk away. Tickets for the 'Hells of Beppu' hot springs can be purchased at the information center at Beppu Station, or you can simply take a bus directly to the attractions. For a day trip to Yufuin, you can catch the JR train or bus No. 36 from Beppu Station. To Fukuoka, you can take the JR from Beppu Station, or walk 10 minutes to the Beppu Shopping Mall entrance (Beppu Kitahama Airport Bus Stop) to catch an airport bus. Beppu Tower and the seaside are also only about a 12-15 minute walk away. Rooms at this hotel are notoriously difficult to book. I booked a triple room almost two and a half months in advance in early November. For the first night, I only managed to secure a 41-square-meter family room with four beds (Photo 5), which turned out to be a delightful surprise. Two beds were in the spacious living room and two in the bedroom. The bathroom was a three-piece design with both a bathtub and a bidet. Both the rooms and public areas are decorated in a simple yet elegant style, featuring artistic patterns created with bamboo weaving and silk flowers. The hotel's hot spring facilities are located on the top floor (13th floor), open from 3 PM until 10 AM the following day. There are two public baths, one for men and one for women. Access to the men's bath only requires scanning your room card, while the women's bath requires a password (provided with your room card at check-in). Additionally, there are seven private baths available for couples, families, or friends to enjoy privately, limited to 45 minutes per session. On the first day, my family queued for check-in. At 3:10 PM, we experienced three private baths: Shibaishi, Myoban, and Kankaiji (top left, top right, and bottom left of Photo 4, respectively). After 4 PM, a long queue had already formed. On the second day, we switched rooms and checked in early at 2:50 PM. At 3:05 PM, we went up and, after waiting in line for 20 minutes, only managed to enjoy Hottayu (top right of Photo 5). After dinner, we waited almost 40 minutes for Kannawa (top left of Photo 5). Screens in the guest rooms and on the 13th floor display the real-time availability of the private baths. During winter, the open-air hot springs on the high floor can be very windy, and the water temperature is relatively low, which can make your scalp tingle. The Kankaiji room is often unused, so be cautious when choosing it; in summer, it's the opposite. There's also an ocean-view lounge on the same floor, offering complimentary ice cream with four or five flavors. From 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Yakult is also provided, though it tends to be taken by guests after 8:30 AM. The buffet restaurant is on the first floor and is not very large. For breakfast, after 8 AM, you generally need to take a number and wait, which can take anywhere from 20-40 minutes. Breakfast costs 3000 JPY/person, and dinner is 4000 JPY/person. Personally, I found breakfast to be better value. Dinner only adds more teppanyaki beef, pan-fried snapper, and mussels, but the desserts and fruits are not as good as breakfast. From 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, complimentary soy sauce ramen is offered. For the first half hour, there's usually a long queue, but it's really delicious. The lobby on the first floor offers 24-hour free coffee, hot chocolate, hot and cold water, and ice. Over 80% of the hotel's guests are Korean, with a good number of Hong Kong and ********* visitors as well; perhaps fewer domestic tourists were present during my visit as it wasn't yet the winter holiday season. Overall, with its excellent location, spacious rooms, fantastic private baths with great views, and good dining options, plus plenty of free perks, this hotel offers exceptional value and is highly recommended.

The hotel's location is convenient and the service was good, but the room was quite small. I didn't pay close enough attention when booking to see if it was a double bed or twin beds, and ended up with a very small room. It felt a bit cramped for two people.

No toothbrush was provided. It was a bit inconvenient to be assigned an upper bunk locker when the occupancy rate was only 10%, but I didn't bring it up to the staff at the time, which is on me. The locker was quite small; after putting in a 29-inch suitcase, there wasn't much space left. The restroom was clean, and the vanity area with a chair was very convenient, thumbs up! 👍🏼

I just realized I didn't take any photos! The hotel's location is pretty good; it's right off the main road, just a short turn into a smaller street. It's very close to the JR station, where the tourist information center is located. You can buy 'hell' tickets and bus day passes there. If you're taking the bus to Kumamoto, the stop is right across the street, in front of Lawson. Don't be alarmed when you enter the hotel and see a cafe – the front desk is right beside it, inside the cafe. You can store your luggage there. Japan now mostly has self check-in, but the front desk staff will assist you. They'll give you information about the hotel. After checking in, you'll grab a black bag containing towels yourself. If you need anything else, you can pick it up from the table nearby. They don't offer cleaning service for stays less than five days, which I found a bit inconvenient – having to do some chores even when on vacation! Every day, you put your trash bin outside your door, and hang used towels outside the door. When you return in the evening, the trash bin will have a clean bag and you bring it back in. For towels, remember to pick up a new black bag from the first floor when you come back; I initially thought they'd also be hung outside, but they weren't. For check-out, I used the self-service machine. Just insert your room card into the machine for it to be collected, and you're all set. The hotel itself is quite clean, and there's a hot spring available, though I didn't go as I'm not a big fan.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, probably because it’s very new. I was extremely satisfied with all the facilities in my room. The space was great, and having a kitchen and a washing machine was a huge plus. There’s also a rooftop onsen available for guests, which I really enjoyed. I absolutely loved the free welcome drinks at the entrance I honestly wish I could take the machine home! Overall, the stay was very comfortable. If I were to give one suggestion, it would be to improve the privacy of the onsen slightly, as it’s still possible to see inside from the entrance, which may cause some privacy concerns.

The hotel was great — we loved the onsen and the breakfast. Special shout-out to Otake for being so friendly and helpful, making our stay extra comfortable and at ease. He went out of his way to assist us with extending our stay for another night and even made sure we got our preferred pillows. His service was genuinely the reason we decided to extend our stay. One small tip for future guests: remember to choose your pillow right after check-in, as we weren’t informed about this during arrival. Also, no need to bring facial skincare products — the hotel provides them. And yes, free alcohol is a lovely bonus 😊

I stayed at Liguanfang for two consecutive nights, so I'd like to share my experience. From a location perspective, it's incredibly convenient, with several hot spring 'hells' in Kannawa just a five-minute walk away. Getting to and from the airport via the express bus is also very easy, and if you have a lot of luggage, they can even arrange delivery to the station. Regarding the environment, it's elegant, and there weren't many guests during my stay, so it was generally quiet. As for the room facilities, the hot spring water was exceptional – truly worthy of Kannawa Onsen, one of Beppu's Eight Hot Springs. The water was much better than another hotel I stayed at in Beppu; my skin felt noticeably smoother after soaking. From a food perspective, it was good. However, since I also stayed at another hotel in Beppu, the food here was slightly inferior by comparison, but still worth experiencing. Overall, it's an excellent onsen ryokan that's definitely worth a return visit!

HhswwThis hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Oita Station, to the left after exiting. It's also very close to Beppu. The bathroom features a separate wet and dry area, and the bedding is comfortable. The women's public bath has both indoor and outdoor pools. The complimentary ramen and ice cream in the evening are a thoughtful touch, and there's also water and snacks in the fridge.

AAnonymous UserWe selected a Japanese style tatami room which was nice a spacious. However, most if the room looks old and very dated. Clock kept making ticking noise that made it hard to sleep but hotel staff was very kind and quick to remove it when we requested. Hotel was very crowded and full of children so the hot spring bath was also very crowded and noisy at times. It was very nice for the hotel to provide free snacks and beverages until late at night. It's a very family hotel and the view is excellent. It's actually in Hiji about 20 mins from Beppu centre. Breakfast is very good. We enjoyed our stay but the rooms can go for a round of uplift to not look dated.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located, about a 10-minute walk from Beppu Station, just down the alley from Takegawara Onsen. It's surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping malls, and is close to the beach and Beppu Tower. Takegawara Onsen offers a sand bath, but I didn't try it again because I'd already tried it in Ibusuki. This is a very traditional Japanese-style hotel, with relatively large tatami rooms. The facilities appear dated, but they are very clean. There are no private showers, so you need to use the communal baths (sitz baths and hot springs). The hotel also has private baths available for reservation and a fee. Daily housekeeping is not included, so you need to leave your trash at the door each day, where it will be collected by staff. Towels and bathrobes are provided for the two days before your stay, and you can pick them up at the front desk if you need more. Since there's no room service, the bed isn't made, so you have to make it yourself. I initially thought it would be a little awkward, but it was surprisingly easy to adapt to. There is a laundry room, which costs 300 yen for unlimited use during your stay, but there are only two washers and dryers, and there's a queue during peak hours. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, answering all my questions. Breakfast is a set meal, and the restaurant staff are also very friendly. The meals are different every day during the three-day stay, which is a plus! Beppu is really comfortable and relaxing. I hope to have the opportunity to come again in the future~

AAnonymous UserThe room and the Onsen were EXACTLY like those in the listing and were absolutely stunning! The breakfast was delicious and the range more than adequate. The location is good if you drive but is about 1km walk to Beppu Tower and a bit more from the night street. But I’d happily trade that for the spacious room and the wonderful sea and sunrise view.

GGuest UserHotel surroundings and cleanliness was top notch. Dinner and breakfast set were amazingly tasteful and filling. Food served was fresh and served based on our eating pace. All the staff are all well versed with English and friendly with our request. The onsen itself was great but the entrance to the men and ladies onsen was just next to each other. Ladies privacy could be easily violated as the main door was the see-through type. We were not feeling quite comfortable with the entrance layout.
