My overall experience at the hotel was excellent. The price fully matches the quality of the services provided. The staff were very polite, attentive, and professional, creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. The location is very convenient — everything you might need is nearby, including shops, public transport stops, a shopping center, cafés, and restaurants, all within walking distance. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with all necessary amenities provided. Overall, my stay was very pleasant, and I would be happy to choose this hotel again in the future.

The hotel strategically position it self on the beach,which make it popular and attractive.i enjoyed the room selected Premier Sea View with Balcony also the staff were professional and nice.However due to the Cyclone Ditwah were forced to be in our rooms for about 2 to 3 days nkt enjoying as much as per say. The staff like Dasun was very helpful with check in process and other issue.The room was specious,clean and provided safe deposit which comes very in handy sometimes.The breakfast and dinner was delicious especially tomato's soup and fried chicken rice. Thank you chef and the night waiter, sorry i did not get his name.

Located at the most central avenue of Colombo has very nice view to the Indian Ocean, particularly from the rooftop garden and swimming pool, which probably is the largest in Asia. I was in this garden in 2018 and now is like a roof forest. The gym is well equipped and with panoramic view. The hotel is at the top of the mall, the dream of my wife. Every hour there was a shuttle to a tropical beach just outside Colombo. We did also the complementary half day tour to the city that was well organized. Excellent service and comfort.

Cinnamon Lake offers a wonderful overall experience. The facilities are well maintained and comfortable, the food is fresh, tasty, and well presented, and the service is warm and attentive without being intrusive. The peaceful surroundings add to the charm, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Overall, it’s a memorable experience that feels calm, welcoming, and worth visiting again.

Nice rooms, good location, and the staff was very friendly. Good business hotel, but also good for couples and families. Although the booking said ”ocean view”, didn't get a ”full ocean view” room. However, there was a nice view of the city and a partial view of the ocean which was unobstructed. Standard cleanliness and amenities. You have to specifically tell the housekeeping team if you want the bed linens changed. Wi-Fi is a bit jittery and requires you to log in every day for some weird reason, but speed is okay too. Breakfast buffet is nice with a standard spread of local vs continental. Egg hoppers are a bliss, and they'll make yours fresh every morning. Food at the restaurant/lounge is average, but they make a good Long Island Ice Tea at the bar. I was unable to attend breakfast as I had an early flight, requested the front desk to swap out the breakfast for a club sandwich at 3am, they were able to do that. The staff are overall nice and friendly, except for one guy at the reception who for some reason took 1000LKR for a replacement key and didn't want to give me a receipt for it. They also didn't give me a hotel invoice during check-out and said I will have to collect it from Trip.com. While I do have the invoice from Trip.com I found it as standard practice in most other hotels to share a copy of the invoice during checkout.

Sheer British Colonial history setting from 150 years ago. Immaculately observed, including the lowering of the Sri Lankan flag every day at 6pm, accompanied by a Scottish bagpiper!! Excellent location, close to the city centre but just enough away, right be the sea, in front of the iconic Galle Face Green. The pool is sourced from the sea water all the time. Good size, good facilities. Clean. Sunset views exceptional. Food available in several locations in the hotel, including the popular, much talked about buffet breakfast and bar food. Prices reflect the maintenance of traditional cuisine in a the modern world… But not as expensive as other modern hotels nearby, eg the Kingsbury. Highly recommended. We were here in the run up to Christmas 2025. The decorations will put many Christian countries to shame!.😁 They obliged us with a late check out. Five stars!

Pros: -Territory of the property is huge. Big garden and its all green. There is swimming pool also. -Big room as you can see in the video. One big bed and one small bed and lots of space in the room -Amenities such as small fridge and closet are available inside the room. -View to the garden and the pool. -Access to the garden from the room with sitting space is beautiful -Airport transfers are provided by hotel if you provide your flight details. -Totally worth the price as we booked it under $40. Cons: 
-Location is in the opposite direction from the airport to the city. If you have short stay in Colombo and you want to see Colombo as much as possible, the location is not great for you.
-Property is not in the great condition as aircondition was leaking and bidet shower was leaking as well

It's a good hotel. Location is perfect for heaps of bars and restaurants around. The pool is also very good. Shame it doesn't have a direct sea view, but there are corners where you can stare at beautiful waves crashing to the wall. Thanks for everything guys! Cheers

One unforgettable highlight was the in-room dining experience. I ordered the black pork curry with pol roti — and it was simply divine! Without exaggeration, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, full of authentic Sri Lankan flavor and prepared to perfection. Overall, The Kingsbury Colombo exceeded all my expectations. The hotel is super clean, secure, and the staff make a genuine effort to create an exceptional experience for every guest. Whether you’re a local or a foreign traveler, I highly recommend staying here at least once — you’ll truly understand the meaning of top-tier hospitality.
