We arrived very early at the hotel but the arrival experience is superb. I was assigned to room 309 at level 3 in 20mins. The room is very decent size enough for 1 person. The bed is queen size bed, the blanket pillows and mattress decent clean bit not too comfortable for my preference. Bedroom Experience:6/10 The bathroom is very spacious for this room size with seperate bathtub and standing shower. Wash basin is decent size for 1 person. Toilet is automatic and is very comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub daily after work. Bathroom Experience: 7/10 I was assigned an ocean sea view room. The train horn sound is very distrubing my sleep. If you are light sleeper, please take it serious consideration. I was awake by train horn every 6am in the morning.

I accidentally booked for the wrong day, but they still welcomed me with full attention and availability. The bed is wonderful and the bathroom is very good. Nice view of the garden. Good location, close to restaurants and a market. I recommend it and would come back again.

I had a really great stay at Amari Colombo. The hotel was clean, modern and very comfortable throughout. The rooms were well maintained and everything felt fresh and tidy. The location is excellent — easy to get around the city and close to everything you’d need. One of the highlights was the rooftop, which has fantastic views over Colombo. It’s a great spot to unwind and take in the skyline. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and I’d happily return.

Stayed for 4 nights as i had a wedding to attend.  It was my first time visiting Colombo City so went in with lots of excitement in general.  Got to hotel pretty late, but was welcomed by a very friendly doorman who took all my bags.  Check in was smooth.  Room is very clean, modern, full A/C, it's all well done.  I had a nice view to the city and the ocean.  I used the gym, it's decent, has everything you need to keep yourself fit during your stay.  There are loads food places, like western to asian food all near by.  50m away from a big supermarket if you need to grab anything.  It's about 20,25 mins away from Red Mosque on Tuktuk.  I'd stay here again for sure. 

Mostly individual travelers stay here, and it's very conveniently located with easy access to transportation and shopping. The service is excellent, everyone is very friendly and enthusiastic. The breakfast offers a good variety, and there's a free minibar. It's also easy to find places to eat nearby; if you turn left out of the hotel and walk about 500 meters, there's a restaurant with an amazing 'Big Long Burger' for only 35 RMB, easily enough for two people.

I chose this hotel because I had a night flight. I was worried that it was a new hotel and not listed on Google Maps, but I managed to get there. I didn't know what to do when I arrived at the hotel at night, so my taxi driver contacted them. The owner was very kind! ︎The room was clean, and the garden was cleaned in the morning! ︎

Our family of three checked into the hotel during the first week of May 2025. Unfortunately, our overall experience was underwhelming. Room service was disappointing, our order was incorrect, and we chose not to send it back as we assumed it would take a long time to receive the correct one. It also took three separate calls just to receive the room service menu. Additionally, we were charged for ice despite having an active room service food bill, which felt unreasonable. When we inquired about evening entertainment (Friday eve), the front desk assured us a live band would be performing, but this never happened. It appeared the resort seems to operate with minimal staff, which may explain the drop in service quality. On a positive note, we were warmly welcomed by a great host at check-in, and the barman at the pool bar made excellent cocktails and provided friendly service. Hopefully, this could be just a rare slip-up.

I stayed here for two nights and found the experience to be average. The location is definitely the best part of this hotel—you can’t beat it for convenience. I had requested a birthday cake upon arrival, and the hotel did a good job of arranging that for me, which I appreciated. However, the rest of the stay was hit-or-miss. The cleanliness was only average, and the receptionist wasn't very attentive. It’s a fine place if you just need a central spot to sleep.

Convenient location near Fort station and a few mins walk to a good selection of tourist restaurants, cafes and bars near the World Trade Centre. Probably one of the best locations in Colombo for tourists using the train. Clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed and good shower with hot water. My room also had decent air conditioning. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy check in. Good price. I will happily stay here again next time I am in Colombo.

They’re good, and their service is also good. But their online response is very bad. I didn't get any response to when I texted and called them, as I had some queries. But their hospitality is very good. And food is also tasty.
