The valet here was so helpful and sweet! Cameron and Tiago were the best and so efficient and informative and made my trip so easy with their help. What a great hotel and experience. Only place I go for my Oregon business trips. The rooms are also fantastic as well as the food!

The cleanness of the hotel property was spot on , very impressed especially with being located in downtown. Our room was perfect, the housekeeping team did a wonderful job making us feel safe by providing a clean and fresh room . The afternoon manager (wore green shirt) on August 18 was very friendly and courteous to my family and I, he was very professional representative of your hotel . Will stay again! Thank you.

I spend 100 nights per year in just Hilton brands alone. I'm middle aged and not high maintenance. Additionally due to my industry/company I've been required to travel during the entire COVID nightmare. I totally understand the challenges and changes the pandemic brought to hotels and have a great deal of respect for the hospitality industry as a whole. This is my 4th time being a guest at this property and honestly there are no major issues. In general property, guest rooms, staff and location are all great! This is more a full-service hotel and a considerable step above your typical Hampton Inn format/experience. A few minor irritates: No shampoo in my room or at front desk. Was told they ran out? No loaner guest umbrellas. Was told they ran out? Limited breakfast hours and no to-go bagged breakfasts on the weekends? Regards to homeless/transient problem that plagues Portland. It's considerably better/cleaner around the hotel and Pearl district than just a year ago. I have no issues walking around by myself or concern about parking my car on the surrounding streets (except some park blocks are still dicey).

The hotel itself, front desk staff, restaurant, and rooms are fabulous. The price was great for all that. Really impressed with the size of the room, the bathroom, the décor, the amenities, quality, look/feel, service, etc. That was the highlight for my trip, and if this hotel were located somewhere else, I'd come here every time. That said, the location of the hotel being in the worst of downtown Portland, coupled with ridiculous (literally, jaw dropping stunning) parking challenges, makes this a no-go for a recommendation. It's hard to believe they have no parking structure, and must only use valet or (unsafe) street parking. Even getting to the hotel is difficult because so many streets nearby are closed. I called and asked how/where I was supposed to park, and was told it was just valet, and to find any spot in front and double park (which I did). I actually had to park in a bus stop, left my blinkers on, and gave my key to the valet. 45 minutes later, I could still see my vehicle on the street from my 10th floor room, so I went down to the valet and expressed my concern that I was going to either get a ticket or get towed. He said he was very overworked, had started his shift at 2pm (it was 11pm at this time), hadn't had lunch or a break, that the parking was almost at capacity, and he ”hoped” he would get to it later. While I was talking to him, two other guests interrupted (presumably with the same concern) and decided to park on the street and risk it. 20 minutes later, my vehicle did finally get parked. In the morning, one of my antennas was snapped off and sitting on my front seat. Par for the course... I wish I had known how bad the parking situation was beforehand, because I would never have chosen this place. It's a shame too, since the hotel and room were awesome. If you're taking a taxi or ride share to the hotel, and don't intend to go out, then this is a winner. If you have a vehicle of any kind, don't even bother. It's an exercise in frustration and annoyance.

We found this hotel to be as advertised. The rooms were large, modern and very comfortable. Lovely bathroom and well appointed. We felt this hotel was good bang for the buck. The staff was fairly friendly and answered any questions we had. We had a so/so dinner there as it was a bit of a drive to the nearest restaurant. I would recommend this hotel for a stopover.

The overall standard Motel, the price is good. Good location, very quiet around. There is coffee at the front desk, small, fruit, free parking, and the overall feeling is good.

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the new remodel is since our last visit . The room was very clean and beds were so comfortable. The property itself has made a huge improvement. The FD staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We will most definitely be returning.

From Lake Tahoe to Portland, the hotel is generally good, breakfast is OK, the hotel is located in the town, the surrounding is fully furnished, it is worth mentioning that there is a big Wal-Mart in the vicinity for a few miles, open 24 hours.

Charge my $55 deposit for no reason. Tried to contact them but they are always busy. No way but dispute that from the bank

The staff is very friendly. The parking lot is in the public parking lot at different entrances of the same building. It is a bit ”unfriendly” that the overnight charge for the public parking lot is $28, but it costs $35 to apply at the hotel. It may be that there is ”service” in it. Overall it is quite good.

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, so parking is not difficult. There is no elevator, so I am a problem for having a large baggage and I am not willing to go to the first floor. I have an unidentified taste in the door of the room. I think it is the taste of the bathroom. It should be carefully identified as a thick curry flavor. There are obvious folds, not like new ones, and they are sent to change after communication. The furniture looked like there was a patina, and the carpet was somewhat sensational, giving up the extra breakfast for the reservation.

I was in Portland for a business trip, and the Paramount is very close to our office and located in the heart of downtown. To me, the comfort of the bed is one of the most important things a hotel needs to get right, and the bed was SUPER comfy. I slept really well, which is not always an easy thing to do when you're away from home. The whiskey bar that's connected via the hotel lobby was excellent, too. I would definitely recommend!

The facilities are good, clean and the interior of the public space is excellent, as if it was newly built or remodeled recently. Overall satisfaction except for the serious noise problem due to the failure of the room heater. Especially the bathroom shower water pressure is high and the breakfast is good.

I can only speak to my experience but, in no way did it resemble the one star reviews. I found the property welcoming in nature. The staff were great and really seemed to like their positions. While I didn’t eat or drink in the hotel, the bar area was quite inviting as was the lobby area in general. I went and looked at the pool and hot tub and it was inviting. The problem I had to work late and the pool was most likely closed. It would be nice if the pool and hot tub were open late w/o children after 9PM. I will be back and I’ll bring the kids too

Friendly staff that has been working here for many years. It’s so nice to go back to a familiar face even after many years away. Nina, the GM, is fantastic and she clearly has the respect and admiration of her staff because she has a lot of long term employees and it’s clearly like a family atmosphere here. It’s clean, feels safe and is quiet. Highly recommend.

Super awesome staff. The hotel was packed but the staff was well prepared and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. This was my first stay at this hotel. First time to Portland, also. If I ever go back to Portland I will chose this hotel because of the staff, specifically Sherif Samy, the front desk supervisor. What a joy to have met this gentleman. I had a mix-up with my dates and booked a hotel for the wrong date for my trip to Portland. Luckily, there was a room at this hotel available and Sherif couldn't have been more helpful with my special requests. I had expiring credits with two of my credit cards that I wanted to use but needed my final bill split between two cards. You never know how well someone will understand your request when you are asking for a slightly different procedure than normal. In my case, I had to spend a certain amount and then have the bill split between two different cards to fully use my credits. Both Sherif and the equally great gentleman who checked me in the night before understood what I was doing perfectly. They both explained my final bill and how they would be splitting my room charge. There really was no need for me to ask Sherif Samy to confirm before I checked out that my invoice would be split between two cards but I was spending more than I normally would for a room and Sherif was sympathetic and double checked for me. He showed such great care and appreciation for me, that I was truly moved. Not only did Sherif give me comfort from knowing my final billing would be handled correctly, he gave me the most unexpected gift of all. It's silly, but I was wearing a very inexpensive t-shirt I got from Target almost 2 years ago. I hardly ever wear the shirt but anytime I do, I always get compliments on the design. Then, people always ask where I got it and are floored to learn I got it at Target. Well, Sherif did the same. He complimented my shirt but went on to explain why he liked it so much. Turns out, I was wearing a shirt with Egyptian symbols depicting the pyramids and sun. I had no idea and this most certainly explains the uniqueness of the shirt and why so many people have complimented me on it. Then, Sherif showed me his personal pictures of the pyramids and Egypt. He was such a joy, and meeting him was the best treat of my whole stay at this hotel. The breakfast was wonderful. Despite the hotel being sold out, I had no problem finding a seat for breakfast or getting food. A waffle machine would have been nice but honestly, the choices were plentiful. I got a very generously portioned pasta salad the night before from the bar that was enough for two meals. The young woman working the bar who took my order on June 29, 2024 was just as great to meet as Sherif. Despite the full hotel, I was the only person at the bar/restaurant. My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect for exploring the area, whether you're shopping, dining, or taking a stroll in the nearby park. The staff were always helpful, friendly, and polite whenever we needed assistance. Our outbound flight was scheduled for late afternoon, so we requested a late check-out, though we weren't expecting much. However, Jay went above and beyond to accommodate our request and graciously allowed us a late check-out at no extra cost and gave us tips on places to visit in the area. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning in the future.

Very comfortable accommodations. I requested an accessible shower and my request was immediately confirmed. The room was quiet and I was able to sleep without disruption from traffic noise. A changing variety of hot food at the breakfast bar and a very generous variety and supply of cold breakfast items. And cookies when I returned in the evening!

Nice hotel great view good staff will be going there again when I am in town

We were a little skeptical due to the reviews we saw online about staying here, but I have to say, the room was great’! Completely clean and no issues whatsoever. Quiet area and had a great time. Definitely would recommend if you’re wanting to find something cheap for the night! Felt very safe here. Thanks again dunes!😌

Room was nice. Pillows are not the best. They went flat and hard very fast. Had to ask for covers for the pullout couch. Pool is TINY with no seating away from the splash zone for parents to watch. Breakfast was phenomenal with good choices.
