"Wonderful hotel! The room was clean, beds very comfortable, and daily housekeeping was excellent! It's quiet, peaceful, and cozy. Breakfasts were absolutely amazing and so varied! There's also a pool if you want to swim. The grounds are well-maintained. The neighborhood itself is good for staying in, very calm. There are many other high-end hotels nearby, but this one completely satisfied me in terms of value for money!"

"The rooms are this hotel are very nice. The location is perfect. The service levels are very high. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular, Monika and Besang in the restaurant, Sita and Binita for the cleaning service, and all the security staff. Overall, our stay here was very good. The breakfast is very good, with a nice variety. If I could suggest some improvements, it would be fresh pastries for breakfast and maybe some alternatives to cows milk such as oat or almond milk. The other thing is, the gym needs a total refresh. I recommend staying here. It is a very good offer overall. Thank you for giving us a pleasant stay."

"I booked the hotel because I wanted to stay close to Buddha Stupa in Boudhanath and this is by far my best experience in Kathmandu. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the Stupa, but very quiet and private. There is an old monastery inside the hotel, and part of the profit from the hotel goes to support the monks in monastery. Morning yoga session is 8am to 9am led by a monk, but I always slept in so couldn’t make it (my fault!). Breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend the puri with potatoes and beans fillings. The hotel manager and staffs are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the stay even more pleasant. Thank you all, it’s been a great experience staying Hotel Dolmaling. I would definitely come back here the next time I’m in Nepal!"

"★★★★★ I recently stayed at Hotel Barahi Kathmandu for 2 nights and 3 days during my trip to Nepal. To start with the conclusion, this is a hotel I would gladly stay at again. When I evaluate a hotel, I don't judge it solely on luxury or facilities. What matters most to me is how the people working at the hotel interact with their guests. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a very impressive hotel in that regard. From check-in to check-out, every staff member – at the front desk, in the restaurant, and from housekeeping – greeted me with natural smiles. It didn't feel like formal customer service because I was a 'guest,' but rather as if they were treating me as an individual. The hotel's location is also excellent. While it's within walking distance to the Thamel area, upon returning to the hotel, you find a calm space where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a very convenient hotel for both sightseeing and staying. I also enjoyed breakfast every day. Beyond the variety of dishes, Nepali cuisine was also offered, which was great for a traveler like me to easily enjoy local flavors. On the other hand, there was noise in my room at night, and there was one day when I couldn't get enough rest. This was disappointing. However, what impressed me even more was the hotel staff's response afterward. They listened carefully to my concerns and addressed each issue without downplaying it. Their attitude conveyed a strong desire to 'improve the guest's stay.' During my travels, I pay close attention not only to the hotel's facilities but also to the people working there. No matter how grand the building, if the people aren't good, I wouldn't want to stay at that hotel again. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a hotel where I felt human warmth. Of course, there are always areas for improvement. But this hotel has an attitude of being willing to address those areas. That was of great value to me. That's why if I have the opportunity to visit Nepal again, I would choose this hotel once more. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to all the front desk staff, restaurant staff, and housekeeping who kindly assisted me during my stay. "This is a good hotel with a convenient location in the Thamel area, meaning it's within walking distance of countless restaurants, shops, and souvenir stalls. The room has a comfortable work desk, air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a nice bathroom with a shower. There's a balcony, but the view probably won't impress romantics. However, the rooftop offers some great photo opportunities for photographers. I didn't swim in the rooftop pool because I felt a bit unwell, but from my experience with other hotels, I suspect the water is ice cold. Breakfast isn't super diverse, but they'll make you fried eggs or an omelet to order. The staff is pleasant – thanks for the complimentary late check-out. The only downsides are probably the view from the window, which looks out onto a school building that resembles a prison, and the instant coffee at breakfast (though the latter is pretty standard for hotels in this price range in Nepal). I would definitely choose this hotel again for a stopover in Kathmandu."

"The resort provides pickup service from the bus stop. Upon bus arrival, the driver was already on standby to bring us to the hotel. The room that we got was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable as well. Shower water was not strong but still useable. Having said that, the tv in the room wasn't working and should be fixed. The bidet water was also very weak and was leaking if we don't shut it from the source. The resort also has many options of safari tours. The chose the river canoe ride + bird watching + elephant breeding center as well as the jeep ride in safari. Mr Jagat who guided our jeep tour was the best guide one could ask for. He was patient to show us the animal and very knowledgeable. Lastly i would like to commend on every staff at the resort. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Despite there are some areas of improvements, i would recommend this resort for their excellent service. Additionally do go for their cultural dance show. It's worth it. Have fun and experience their culture. I love Chitwan and would recommend people to visit."

"This was my third stay, and I was here for 7 days. I feel the restaurant service has declined, especially at the breakfast buffet. I noticed a slightly overweight waiter who seemed unfriendly towards Chinese guests, preferring to serve Indian guests instead. He ignored requests from Chinese diners and was overly attentive to Indian ones. The breakfast order and serving speed were slow; out of several days, I only got my ordered eggs once. Big thumbs down. The restaurant manager also seemed indifferent towards Chinese guests. I'm not sure why, especially since there were so many Chinese diners."

"Absolutely amazing... Having a museum hotel like this in Kathmandu makes it feel like a real place... The service, food, and rooms were all superb. Although it's an older hotel, it's truly fantastic! It has culture, history, and faith—and we even got to eat the most traditional Nepali food! The experience and taste were both amazing!"
