AAnonymous UserThis hotel's location is undoubtedly one of its biggest selling points. It's just a few minutes' walk from Wan Chai MTR station, making it incredibly convenient to get to Central, Causeway Bay, or even the Golden Bauhinia Square (where you'll find the famous mobile soft-serve ice cream truck). Right behind the hotel is the well-known Lee Tung Avenue (aka 'Wedding Card Street'), and next door is a larger, more retro Kee Wah Bakery, along with many other unique specialty shops. The surrounding area offers a fantastic array of dining options, from local snacks to upscale restaurants, so you'll always find something to your taste. The service also left a deep impression. From the front desk to room service, the staff consistently showed patience and attentiveness, creating a warm and genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Even during busy periods, they maintained an excellent standard of service, which made the stay even more pleasant. While the elevators are a bit small and you might have a short wait during peak hours, it didn't significantly impact the overall experience. The breakfast area isn't large, and seating is limited, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Although the variety isn't extensive, every dish is executed very well. The dim sum, in particular, is on par with what you'd find in a good local teahouse. The sticky rice chicken was soft and flavorful, the lava custard buns were perfectly balanced in sweetness and saltiness with a rich flowing filling, and the steamed dumplings had thin skins and generous fillings – definitely worth trying. The coffee was also a pleasant surprise; the latte's milk foam was wonderfully creamy and smooth, and the Americano was clean-tasting with no acidity, making it a perfect pick-me-up at breakfast. The check-in process was very smooth, with no deposit required, which saved a lot of hassle. Drinking water and toiletries were already prepared in the room beforehand, showing thoughtful attention to detail. Overall, this stay was a delightful experience, offering both the convenience of its location and the satisfaction of excellent service and food.

GGuest UserI was a bit hesitant after reading some reviews, but to my surprise, the service and room cleanliness were excellent! For a place like Hong Kong, the price was perfectly acceptable. The front desk staff were very helpful during check-in, answering all my questions, and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly when I checked out. The hotel bus driver was also very welcoming. The room was a suite, so it didn't feel cramped at all for a family. Even the cleaning lady was very enthusiastic. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserTwenty years ago, when I first visited Hong Kong on a tour, I stayed at the Rambler Garden Hotel next door. Back then, this entire complex had just opened, and this area wasn't even on my Hong Kong friend's new map. From my room, I could see the Stonecutters Bridge under construction and the container terminal below. Back then, we had bulky CRT TVs on the windowsills; now, there are flat-screen TVs mounted on the walls. The hotel is very clean, and housekeeping is prompt and thorough. The room is quite small, which is typical for Hong Kong. The wardrobe and other furniture haven't been replaced in twenty years, and some pieces are showing wear and tear. The mini-fridge, which used to be under the wardrobe, is now on the windowsill. The nightstand, previously between the two beds, has been moved to the side closer to the bathroom. Some of the worn areas definitely need timely repairs. Tsing Yi is a relatively secluded island, and as one of only two hotels here, transportation relies on minibuses 88F and 88G plus the MTR, which is reasonably convenient. Because of its somewhat remote location, the big advantage is the excellent value for money. For the same price, hotels in areas like Jordan or Central would be even smaller and lack any cabinets or chairs. WeChat Pay and Alipay are widely accepted in many places, though a few smaller shops still hold out, accepting only cash. All three meals can be had at the Café de Coral restaurant on L1. There's also a convenient ParknShop supermarket where you can top up your Octopus card at the checkout. On L1, you'll also find a Bank of China (Hong Kong) ATM. You can withdraw Hong Kong dollars directly using any UnionPay debit card; it automatically converts the currency, and I found the exchange rate to be quite good at 0.88. There's a flat fee of HK$10 per transaction. Twenty years ago, the hotel used to sell Disneyland tickets. Now, it's so easy to buy tickets online via mobile, so that service is no longer offered. That's all I can think of for now. Time to rest.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! You can get there directly from Futian Port by subway. Check-in, check-out, and luggage storage were all very accommodating. For a place like Hong Kong where space is at a premium, the hotel facilities are quite decent. It's super convenient for dining and getting around; you can walk to many attractions, and public transport (buses and MTR) is also easily accessible.

JJerryChangMSo convenient, being close to Ocean Park! The hotel is also very new, with beautiful scenery, perfect for a lazy getaway. Highly, highly recommend! (It's quite far from the city center and there are no convenience stores nearby.) However, the food is super expensive. The dinner buffet was 700 per person, and the quality was a bit lacking, to be honest 🫢. We stayed for 2 nights and paid an additional 5500 HKD. When I called to order food, the operator said she could speak three languages. I spoke English, but she seemed to have trouble understanding me. I asked for a 'baby chair,' but she asked if I meant 'high chair,' which was a bit different from what I learned when studying abroad, haha 😂. Then I tried speaking Mandarin, and she still seemed to not understand. Was I speaking too fast? I had no choice but to find a Cantonese-speaking friend to communicate with her 😅😅😅

GGuest UserA pleasant and convenient hotel located very close to Hong Kong International Airport. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, which makes it a good option for early flights or events nearby. I stayed here while attending an event at AsiaWorld-Expo. It was very convenient, as the venue is close and reachable on foot, partly via covered walkways. There are a few basic options inside AsiaWorld-Expo, including a 7-Eleven and Starbucks, but it takes about 10 minutes to walk there. The room itself is small but functional. The bathroom and shower are separate. There are two large towels and two small towels. The sink is located in the room, not inside the bathroom. Toiletries are provided, including toothbrushes, cotton pads, and cotton swabs. Everything was clean and well maintained. To avoid waiting until the standard 3:00 PM check-in time, I was offered an early check-in with a twin room, which I accepted. The room felt quite compact, and the second bed takes up a lot of space, so it can easily become a luggage area if you are staying alone. In the room, there is a kettle, tea, a couple of tea bags, coffee, a safe, and bottled water. A carafe is provided, and you can refill clean drinking water on your floor. You just need to call reception by dialing zero, and they will tell you where the water dispenser is located on your floor. There is not much around the hotel at ground level. On-site, there is a restaurant serving breakfast, as well as vending machines with simple snacks, cookies, and soft drinks. For more options, you need to walk to the nearby shopping area or AsiaWorld-Expo. My room windows faced another hotel, the Marriott, so there was no view, but it was very quiet. No airplane noise at all, which was a nice surprise for an airport hotel. Overall, the hotel is clean, comfortable, and very practical for airport stays or nearby events. Everything worked well, and I would rate it 5 stars for convenience and functionality.

NNanguaniangThe hotel's front desk staff, both the young men and women, were excellent. They arranged a room with a superb view, allowing us to perfectly enjoy the New Year's fireworks display. They were very responsive to all our requests and fully met our holiday needs. Thanks to the enthusiastic help of Ms. Nicole, we quickly traveled from Hong Kong directly to Shenzhen to continue our second leg of the journey. We will definitely choose Island Shangri-La again next time.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient to get around. It's right in the heart of Wan Chai, just a 3-minute walk from the MTR station and easy to find. You can even take a taxi directly to the 18th floor. There are tons of restaurants nearby, and Hopewell Centre downstairs has all sorts of food, catering to both Western and Chinese tastes. Shopping is also a breeze, with convenience stores, pharmacies, and supermarkets readily available. The room itself is very spacious, and the facilities are quite new. We booked a family suite with one bedroom, a living room, and two bathrooms. The two beds for the kids were set up in the living room, and it didn't feel cramped at all. The master bedroom and en-suite bathroom were also huge – it would be considered a very large room even on the mainland, let alone in Hong Kong where space is at such a premium. The amenities are comprehensive: two bathrooms, with the main one featuring both a shower and a bathtub. There's also a small bar area equipped with a microwave, coffee machine, fridge, and washing machine, which is perfect for families with children. The layout is very practical, feeling spacious and not at all crowded. Plus, you get great sea views and city nightscapes. The service was also top-notch; they sent champagne, chocolates, and fruit, and the room was cleaned thoroughly every day. For Hong Kong, this hotel is definitely an exceptional value.
