Stopped in for lunch and grabbed a seat at the bar. The curry chicken was lovely, really hit the spot. Caesar salad was fresh too, not overdressed. Place still has that proper old-school pub feel, which I appreciate. Service was friendly enough, didn&#39;t have to wait long for anything. Nice spot if you just want an easy meal without fuss.

The lamb stew was the standout &mdash; tender, rich broth, proper Irish seasoning. Portion came up a bit small for what they charge, though. I&#39;d have happily paid the same for a bigger bowl. That&#39;s the only gripe. The flavour itself did the job.

Buttermilk chicken burger was spot on&mdash;hot, crispy fries too. Bartender sorted me out quick. Worth the walk from the centre.

Booked a table for 14 with drinks and platters. Jo&atilde;o sorted everything out so easily. Honestly, the whole group was happy with how it went. Good spot if you&#39;re organising something bigger.

Came for a show at the Viking Theatre upstairs&mdash;small and intimate, really nice for that. Had a quick pint at the bar before, decent spot for it.
