"This is a great option if you want a budget option that is still reasonably comfortable and clean. You get a physical key as the room key and there and then you know that it is a dated hotel. And that also means anyone can access the hotel room floors, and thankfully, there was no security issues throughout our stay. Besides that, the hotel room amenities are acceptable and we enjoyed using the bathroom supplies very much. We booked the Large Twin Room which also means our bath area and toilet are in separate rooms, which is great. The bathroom has the traditional bath house concept with the stool and low mirror, which made our bath time fun for the kids and interesting for adults. We like that fresh towels were provided daily even if we put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door knob. Housekeeping would leave the items in a plastic bag outside your door, including bottles of mineral water. Yes, bottled water is provided for free here, which is perfect. The hotel staff were very friendly. Lifts were spacious and worked perfectly. There were no bugs in the room. Our non-smoking room also smelled fine - no odd or bad smell/odour. The location is also easy for taxi drivers to find. There's also a Family Mart and 7-11 less than 5 minutes away. While you're there, check out Yakinikukotora, just 5 minutes away - a great place to go for dinners and suppers; I believe they close at 3am. All in all, it was a pleasant stay."

Nestled on the western edge of Nara Park, one of Japan’s most famous scenic spots, is Shisui, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nara. The Yoshikien area where our Nara luxury hotel is located is surrounded by World Heritage Sites such as Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Kofukuji Temple and Todaiji Temple, and has been protected by efforts to maintain the area’s lush greenery to ensure a scenic and serene environment. The name of our 5-star hotel in Nara, Japan, derives from the “purple trunk and green leaves (Shikan Suiyou)” – scenic vistas that have been cherished in Nara since ancient times. Just like the name, guests can indulge in the history and traditions of the city when staying at our heritage hotel in Nara, as well as the mystical flow of time that surrounds it.

"Checking in can take a while, as the butler asks quite a few detailed questions and then gives a thorough introduction to the building and its various areas. Some staff members have good English, others not so much, which can sometimes make understanding difficult, but it doesn't significantly impact the overall experience. The breakfast is exquisite. During the tail end of the Golden Week holiday, we had to queue for a table. The Japanese grilled fish was delicious, but other dishes were just okay. The Western options were decent and quite plentiful. The room was clean and tidy, and on our last day, we even saw deer chasing and playing in the courtyard. The hotel has a distinct resort vibe, and Kengo Kuma's design features many highlights. It's a tranquil oasis in a bustling area, and the courtyard is beautifully maintained. Most guests seemed to be older, well-established families, with fewer young people. (As a 'workhorse' who needed to get some work done in the evening, I found there were no power outlets near the desk for my laptop, which really drove home the point that everyone else was truly here to relax and enjoy their vacation). Overall, I had a very pleasant and comfortable holiday. It's a beautiful hotel and definitely worth experiencing."

"The hotel is within walking distance of Kintetsu Yamato-Saidaiji Station and is also in a great location, just 3-4 minutes from Heijo Ruins Park. It's also perfectly located for soaking in hot springs, which are extremely rare in Nara City. The downside is that the facilities are old, and there are issues with facility management and maintenance, such as room and bathroom locks not locking in some places. Also, the hand washing areas in the rooms are not flush with the rooms, making them difficult to use. We strongly urge the hotel management to ensure that the age of the facilities does not become apparent."

"This is a retro-style hotel that suits my taste. Very Kansai. The window view is beautiful, the room is nice. You can see deer from the balcony. Behind the hotel is a green hill, very chill to take pictures. The downside is that it is quite far from the train station, far from the bus station. But the view is nice and chill. The room has no mirror so you can't put on makeup or curl your hair."

"First of all, the location is a long distance from JR and the electric rail Nara Station. The facade is good. The waiter's attitude is also very good. There are free drinks and books on the first floor for free. But the hotel hardware facilities can be said to be not suitable as a hotel, the bed, bathroom, etc. are too old, the TV is not as big as the laptop, and it is a big circle smaller than the small refrigerator. The sewer is also blocked, and the smell of the sewer is coming to the door. I should not choose this hotel again. It is not a good experience. "I want to go to the nearby mountains, and it is a difficult place to find accommodation in Osaka and Kyoto on weekends. There is also a hiking course, but the schedule was changed due to physical strength and weather on the day. It was different from the schedule because I arrived in the afternoon and left in the morning. After the rain, the dreamy lake in the evening left an impression on me. The accommodation carni uses electric cars, but the transportation costs are expensive, and there are no convenience stores nearby, or restaurants open in the evening, so I walked down to Ikoma Station, but it took 30 to 40 minutes by stairs. ㅠ (my knee) It's better to eat and go up to shop in advance. The accommodation was also high, so the view was good, and the hot spring was good to be able to book for an hour. No English, I recommend using an interpreter."

This got to be one of the best rappers i had ever been to, (besides a few really high end resort in Bali). This resort service is impeccable. The kaiseki dinner is really delicious. The Garden is so well curated that it can compete with some of the shrine garden. And last but not least the onsen is truly relaxing and beautiful. One tip, is it place the herbal pack into the onsen early. It takes 6 hours for it to fully diffuse into the onsen.

We went by car! There was a parking lot where guests could park for free. The location was also great, as it was only about a 15-minute walk to Todaiji Temple. We booked a room with dinner and breakfast included, and both were delicious and very satisfying (;;) They provided petit cakes in the evening, which we enjoyed eating while doodling in our memory notebook! They even have a hot spring! The inside of the hotel was very clean, and everything was great, so we were very satisfied! If I come to Nara again, I'd love to stay here!
