"Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to be as informative as possible and share the information I would have liked to know before booking. This was my 5th trip to Marrakesh and my first stay at Savoy Le Grand. I was quite nervous booking after reading some negative reviews, but overall I had a very pleasant experience. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed by Salah (concierge) and the Moroccan tea man in reception. From check-in to check-out (4 days later), all staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everyone we encountered spoke Arabic, French, and English, which made communication very easy. The foyer is beautiful, and the grounds are extremely well cared for—even more beautiful than expected. That said, there is ongoing construction and upgrades, which are not mentioned on the website. This is currently their quiet season, and the main construction is above the reception building, which is being extended upwards. Noise started daily around 9:15am, drilling around 9:38am, and finished around 6:30pm. Estimated completion is 1 May 2026. If you request a room near the second smaller pool, the noise is much less noticeable. The noise is louder and echoes more around the main pool due to the square layout. The hotel has four pools: two outdoor and two indoor. One indoor pool is heated and includes jacuzzi jets. There is also an additional indoor jacuzzi at the spa, charged at MAD 250 per person for one hour. There are three à la carte restaurants on site: Moroccan, International, and Italian. Directly outside the hotel are a supermarket, Paul, Chilli’s, and Papa John’s. Please note that outside food is not allowed inside the hotel. There is an ATM in reception and direct access to Menara Mall, which closes at 10pm. Special thanks to Nabil at reception, who did an excellent job checking us in. He listened carefully to my needs and arranged early check-in to a ground-floor room close to the restaurants, spa, and gym, with a garden and pool view. Soundproofing from the pool area was good, although hallway noise does travel. The grounds are beautiful, but the ground-floor rooms occasionally had a sewage smell, which I’ve also experienced at other Moroccan hotels. We did experience a few issues with our first room (heating not working, leaking fridge, slow-draining sink). Without us needing to complain, Soukayna from guest relations came first thing the next morning and immediately arranged for us to move to a beautiful suite. This level of customer service, care, and attentiveness is exactly what you expect from a 5-star hotel. In the evening there’s live entertainment music in the bar and outside a light & water fountain display. The suite was stunning—very spacious, with a separate living area, two balconies, lots of storage, mini fridge, large sofa, king-size bed, two TVs, kettle, coffee machine, safe, bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom had two sinks (standard rooms have one), plenty of toiletries (no washcloths), a large shower with both handheld and waterfall options, and excellent water pressure. There wasn’t much space to hang items, and there is a bidet hose beside the toilet. Thank you to the head cleaning lady for the final touches and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. I’d like to thank all the staff for providing us with a wonderful stay. I love the Moroccan people—they are humble, kind, and always willing to help. Despite the construction, I achieved my goal of relaxation and a short break. This is now my new favourite hotel in Marrakesh, and I will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family"

"Unforgettable Stay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent time at this Riad. The welcome is exceptional; you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. The team is incredibly attentive, very warm, and always available. The Riad is magnificent, very clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style. My room was impeccable and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and generous, and they even helped me organize an excursion to the Agafay desert. I recommend it 100% and would definitely come back. Shukran for everything! 🇲🇦"

"Had a very pleasant stay at Taj Atlas Wellness. A big thank you to Marya for her invaluable help and availability throughout our stay. The service was impeccable and the meals were excellent. The setting is magnificent, with absolute tranquility and lots of greenery, ideal for relaxation. The drivers were also very polite and courteous. The only small area for improvement: the rooms could use a refresh and a bit more technical maintenance. We noticed some minor finishing imperfections, but these were entirely reasonable and did not detract from the quality of our stay. We recommend this establishment for a peaceful stay near Marrakech."

"Really nice hotel a 20 walk from the main sights of the city. The hotel room is small and the shower could have been built better to prevent flooding but the staff are nice and breakfast was tasty."

"I was quite disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Before my stay, I emailed the hotel with a specific question and received a clear “yes” in response. Based on that confirmation, I made the booking and spent money on the stay. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that they had misunderstood my question and that the “yes” they gave me was not actually based on understanding what I had asked. If the hotel was unsure about my question, they should have clarified it before confirming rather than giving me a “yes” and leaving me to find out only after arriving. This was very frustrating and, in my opinion, not an acceptable level of communication or customer service. On the positive side, the cleanliness was excellent, and the location was good. Unfortunately, the poor communication and the way this situation was handled significantly affected my overall experience  I am not satisfied with the service and would expect better communication and accountability from a hotel."

"Very nice stay. Helpful and kind staff. Beautiful riad! Included average breakfast: many types of bread, a yogurt, coffee. The bed was a bit too firm for my liking and the shower had water pressure and hot water but was difficult to regulate. The location is very close to the main market streets in the Medina, but a bit separated and down a quiet alley. The location felt safe, but also a bit strange to walk there in the dark."

"I got an upgrade to a larger room, it was gigantic. Massive bed and bathroom, 2 balconies, TV, fridge, desk and 2 sofas (they were quite low though, like futons). The staff at reception were brilliant. As it is a boutique hotel there aren't many rooms, so breakfast was very basic. I was unwell, the staff let me check out at 2pm for free, which was much appreciated."
