We had such a pleasant family getaway at Colmar Tropicale with our two little ones. The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable from the moment we checked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to assisting us with bags and stroller access — something we truly appreciate as parents of two babies!
The French-inspired village is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for slow family walks and photos. Our room was clean, spacious enough for the babies’ essentials, and comfortable for all of us. We also loved how calm the environment was, making nap times easy.
Overall good hotel, the interior of the room needs some serious refurbishment especially for their carpet and tv.
Due to monkeys, we couldn't open the window to get some fresh air.
Breakfast quite good, just lack on the drink variety. Only juice and coffee is offered.
Good:
1. The response from the admin was great—super fast and kept me updated.
2. The unit is spacious and perfect for my family of 4 adults and 3 kids.
3. The basic necessities were all good!
Not so great:
1. There was a slight foul smell when we first walked in.
2. Overall cleanliness could be better. Both toilets had clogged shower areas, and there were stains here and there in the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms.
I also want to thank the team for handling an urgent situation during my stay. My 2-year-old got locked in the bedroom, so I asked if they could come help. It took a while, and eventually, I asked if I could just break the door. They gave the green light, and we ended up only breaking the door knob. About 30 minutes later, the door was finally open. Thanks to the team! And sorry for breaking your door knob!
Hyatt Regency provided a cozy environment and comfortable accommodation. The standard room we booked came with a balcony and was very clean. There are two swimming pools available, and it’s just a short walk to the beach where guests can enjoy a sea shower. Thank you for the pleasant stay!
We spent 1 night here. love the place. we enjoyed the neflix . clean n fully furnished. the facilities provided were same as advertised, though we didn't do any cooking (went out for meals). limited halal eatery at the mall. combini (bilabila) is available at ground floor. the premium parking at tower D was ample and easy to navigate, the parking charged daily (rm10/day). we were charged total of rm 31.80 🤑 (cause we went out for dinner after check in, RM 10.60 . came back and check out next day, RM 21.20). walking distance to the chin swee temple, chin swee station cable car and skyavenue, but we have car so didn't try the walkway.
1001 Hotel Genting – Under the Same Umbrella as Wyndham
1001 Hotel is located next to the Wyndham Hotel in Genting, and both seem to be under the same management. They share the same parking area, which is quite narrow and limited, so parking can be a bit challenging during peak times.
The room itself is big and spacious — definitely better than First World Hotel if you’re comparing comfort and space. However, there was an unpleasant smell in the room, something like fungus or that “new building” chemical smell, which made the stay less comfortable.
The most disappointing part happened on the day we checked out. While taking a shower, the water suddenly turned extremely hot. I was stuck in the bathroom for almost 30 minutes waiting for it to cool down. It was really unsafe and frustrating.
On a positive note, the check-out process was smooth and fast, and parking validation was simple and convenient.
Overall, it’s a spacious hotel with potential, but maintenance and room quality need serious improvement before I’d consider coming back.
The homestay was beautiful, and the moment we opened the balcony, we were greeted with a stunning sea view. We arrived in the afternoon, and the tide was low at that time. We saw some tourists walking along the beach, so we joined them for a stroll. On the next day, just before checking out, we noticed that the tide had come in, and we even saw fishing boats heading out to sea. We were very satisfied with our stay.
Toilet bowl not clean. Sound proofing not good. Door could not be bolted. Balcony door could not be locked. Reception at Level 12 causing inconveniences. Lift always crowded during peak. Room was inaccessible during check-in due to weak battery in digital lock. Additional bottled water was chargeable at RM5 per bottle despite staying for 3 nights.
Victor and Zara were both patient and helpful during our stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Cameron Highland Resort. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight – everything is freshly cooked to order from the menu, so the food came hot and delicious. Truly a delightful experience, and we will definitely visit again!
The resort has everything you need — meal options are buffet, grill, BBQ, and fried dishes with excellent wok hei. It also offers a spa, dive centre, mini mart, and an activity centre that arranges snorkeling, trekking, kayaking, and more. Right in front of the resort is a clean, beautiful beach, and Tomok Island is just a short walk away for snorkeling.

IIda ARGreat service and friendly staff. However like many other review mention below, they are very strict regarding total occupants inside the room, my sister in law also said the same. Hence probably next resort board meeting, can consider to terminate / abolish the such rules. The resort must remember tourism in Malaysia are usually family oriented, hence should prioritise family friendly place/hotel/resort. Do not hurt the occupants/ visitors pf the resort’s feeling. Not all are privileged to book luxuries room for their family. Hope cam consider🙏 other resort/ hotel very rare have such rules. But overall okay, abort the rules would really recommend this place to relatives and friends.

AAnonymous UserThe place is quite clean but the view is fantastic! It might be a bit confusing for some people to find their hotel room since they have lots of towers but if you follow the instructions and signs, you will find your room. Will come here again for sure 😊 oh you can just watch the sunrise from the hotel too!
NNUR AMIRAH BINTI AZMANA great place to stay in Cherating 🏝️🩵 the staff are very friendly and helpful, feels welcomed. The room is very clean and spacious. The view from the balcony of Villa 115 is so beautiful. Definitely will come again.
