Today's itinerary was packed with activities. Although it was raining heavily at the summit of Mount Omuro, it didn't dampen our spirits at all. The animals next door were so adorable, especially the capybaras; feeding them was so much fun. Our guide, Liu, worked incredibly hard, explaining everything while driving. He's a wonderful person, thumbs up!★

A perfect day trip! Pick-up and drop-off were punctual. The driver, Suzuki, was handsome, talkative, and a skilled driver; he was also a good photographer. The itinerary was well-planned, but we encountered heavy fog and light rain, so we couldn't see anything on Mount Omuro. I would recommend it to friends.★

Early September 2026 Weather: The weather at Mt. Omuro is unpredictable. Check the official website before you go to see if the cable car is open.
We checked the weather forecast that morning and bought our tickets on Trip.com.
We were very grateful to be able to buy tickets on the same day, avoiding wasting money due to weather issues.
We took the Ito Line from Atami Station to Ito Station (about half an hour).
We happened to catch the goldfish-themed tram with graffiti design and arrived at Ito Station. We saw the bus stop right outside.
(Using the Ito-Izu Bus 2-day pass for 1800 yen)
Take bus I 65 from Ito Station to Cactus Zoo Station. Get off there and you'll reach Mt. Omuro! 💚
🎫Round-trip cable car tickets purchased on-site cost 1000 yen. Showing the Ito-Izu Bus 2-day pass will get you a 100 yen discount, making it only 900 yen! 👍🏻
There are restrooms at the entrance, and also on Mt. Omuro.
Mt. Omuro is highly recommended if the weather is good!★

The itinerary was well-planned. The journey was quite long, taking 6 hours round trip, so we set off early. The vehicle was a 22-seater minibus, which was fine, but a bit cramped. We visited Pudding Mountain in Matcha, Kinosaki Coast, and the ocean-viewing train. Luckily, it didn't rain that day. The hardest working people were our guide, Xiao Hu, and driver, Xiao Hu, who provided exceptional service and detailed explanations. We are very grateful to them. The only downside was that meals weren't included.★

It was my first time seeing a fireworks display in Japan during the summer, and I had a wonderful time. In the afternoon, we also went to Mount Omuro and the Kinosaki coast, and the scenery was fantastic! 👍🏻👍🏻 The driver/guide was very punctual and provided commentary throughout the journey.
